What's that? Speak up, I can't hear you!
Packaging and appearance:I completely forgot about this order when one day I checked my P.O. Box and a small package was waiting inside. It was exactly the same size as the inside walls of the box which lead to a small challenge getting it out. Once I did, I found a nicely padded speaker inside. No damage considering the squeezing and slight crushing I had to do to procure it. I hadn’t recognized it when I saw the box simply because it arrived MUCH quicker than expected. Kudos to the vender!Application:I bought the speaker to replace the one in my wife’s car. Her alarm had gone quiet, almost silent. I could tell the alarm was working but there was barely any sound coming from the horn so I got this one.The speaker itself is on a small hinged bracket which made it easy to install in the same place the old one was. There are 3 sets of wires coming out of it, 2 loops and a power lead.I really appreciated the 3 or so foot power lead as it allowed me to run the wires safely inside the car where I made the connections so there weren’t any exposed splices outside in the engine compartment. The other two loops of wires are there to make adjustments to the sound. One is to enable or disable the alarm sound where it changes tone as the alarm goes off. The other one is for initial “chirp” volume. I left these alone since I was pleased with the settings out of the box.Overall:This thing is LOUD! Much louder than the siren it replaced. It seems to be of good solid quality construction too. I’m sure its going to outlast the remaining years in her car.

Tiny Horn Loud Performance
The first thing I noticed about this horn was it's size. It's very small compared to the old stock one I had in my vehicle, which is nice because it was easier to install. This thing is also no slouch when it comes to sound; it's VERY LOUD for it's size. It comes with 2 wires looped on the back, one for it's soft chirp feature, and the other for the different tones. I ended up clipping the soft chirp loop because I thought it was too quiet, and who wants their alarm horn quiet anyway? The loop for the different tones also gives you additional sound options, but be aware that it's the processor in your alarm module that dictates what sounds are emitted, not the horn. However, this horn will produce slightly different tones, but they are still similar in sound to the stock sounds your alarm produces. For example, I have 2 vehicles with alarms, one with a stock alarm from the factory, and the other having a Viper aftermarket alarm. The Viper alarm normally produces the classic 6 tone sound you remember in the early 90's, which sounded like something out of Star Trek, but with this horn hooked up, it still had the 6 tones, but the actual sounds were different. This is because this horn has some kind of processor built into it, which explains the looped wires on the back. Now, with this horn hooked up to a factory 2 tone setup, it still produced 2 tones. So, while it has additional sound options, the duration and type of sound still depends on your alarm system. It's similar to a car stereo...the stereo produces the sound and the horn is just a speaker to hear it. Overall, a great addition to my stock alarm system, and extremely easy to hook up.

Does it exactly what it is designed to do
Works great! I bought a vehicle that already had an alarm installed but the owner opted to not have a siren installed (can't imagine why you wouldn't want one, but that's what I was working with). I cut the black/white loop to cancel out the ghetto alarm tones, and the black loop to turn off silent tone. Definitely loud and effective! Love the small design too which makes it useful to install in tight areas. I didn't use screws though, just zip ties to tie it down.FYI - I didn't know how to connect it to the brain of the alarm, so once I had gotten the wiring through I was at a dead end. I called a local audio store who wanted $45 just to connect it, which is outrageous. I called a second one, Innovative Audio, and told him I wanted to pay them to hook it up but he said since I had already done the hard part he'd just tell me. Red goes to solid brown on a viper alarm and black to ground. Want to give them a shout out here because they didn't even try to get me in even though I offered to pay, so going to be using them for my car audio in the future and would suggest them to anyone in my neck of the woods (SLC) too. Thanks, great product and great price!

Very Good
Just opened it up and tested it, and so far, I'm very impressed.I wasn't expecting this thing to be so loud, but this thing is SUPER loud. You will not be disappointed. It is powered by a simple two wire setup. It has two other wires coming out of the back, both run in loops. The box has instructions as to what these are. One is for the 6dB initial dimming feature. It says that the siren is quieter at first then gets slightly louder. If you cut this looped wire, you can disable this feature. The other looped wire is for the 6 different tones. Yes, this thing does that old horrible changing tone thing, straight out of the '90s. Don't worry, just cut this wire, and it will sound like a normal alarm. I cut both, because I couldn't tell any difference in the 'quiet chirp' thing anyways, and who wants it to be quieter?I'm going to install it tomorrow, so I can't really speak to quality. It looks and feels good. I'll have to see how well it hold up though. As of now, I'm very happy though.

Exactly What I Wanted
I was looking to replace the "beep beep" locking horn on my 2015 Porsche Boxter and this horn is what I was looking for. I am very satisfied.

It works just fine. It's a great price point
Okay first off, I bought this because I needed a replacement siren for my Viper alarm system and read that other people said it was very loud. Well it's not that loud. It's actually quieter than the regular siren that comes with a Viper alarm. So don't think it's LOUD, it's not (yes I cut the wires as well).I'm giving it 4 stars because it does work. It works just fine. It's a great price point... but again, it's not THAT LOUD. Most car alarms are about the same loudness, this is slightly quieter. So keep that in mind... but the price is right on, it works just fine. It's nice and small as well.
