Install Essentials 513T Mini Piezo Siren

This thing is LOUD! I installed it in an office building above the drop ceiling, but facing out an air vent. There is no mistaking when someone goes into the secure storage room without disarming the alarm system! It is even audible through the fire doors about 50 feet away, but obviously not nearly as loud. When testing the custom alarm system at my house before bringing it to work, my ears were ringing for 20 minutes after testing the siren for only a few seconds. Don't be intimidated by it's size... if you need a siren for inside your house or office, this thing is easily hidden, but will definitely let you know if someone breaks in.

I got this to hookup to a thermostat to come on if the temp falls in our bathroom to a point in which pipes could freeze. This thing is about 30 feet away from the bedroom across a hallway with an exterior grade door that stays closed and woke me out of dead sleep. It was quiet so it didn't scare me and I tried to ignore it but it was so annoying I could not. I got up to find the Bathroom way down to 55 degrees which puts the floor low enough to allow a draft to freeze pipes... I reset the space heater and went back to bed. Worked awesome!

We used to call them "pain generators" before. They are very compact - one fits in the palm of your hand. For this size, it puts out enough volume. If you need more than one, it's easy to wire them in parallel. Due to it's size, it's very easy to hide and protect.

I think this is designed for being inside the car. Some people may be purchasing the replace a large regular siren, but this is fairly small. I installed in the passenger compartment (not going to say where) to make it difficult to be inside the car when the alarm is going off. This is after someone decided to steal my Alpine Navigation unit. I am being proactive about preventing it from happening again. When the alarm is going off, it is VERY loud (inside the car again) and difficult to not cover your ears. I am thinking about getting another one for the rear of the truck (inside again) to double the pain. Would recommend to anyone looking for something inside the car or truck, to discourage someone from staying inside while the alarm is going off. Of course fast shipping, and awesome service, as usual from Amazon.

Added it to my Car Alarm a few years ago. A wise move! Hid it up under the dash on the Driver's side. In addition to the Alarms Loud Noise alerting people of a break in a thief can't stay in the car because of this sirens High Pitch. The pitch is at a frequency that will make anyone in the car Deaf. 😎

Alarm was very loud when i ghetto rigged it to some 9v batteries. I almost lost my hearing lol, would be great if i had an alarm system in my car. Wish this worked without installing a high end alarm system, oh well it was 10 bucks. Would recommend to the honda scene, a lot of thieves deserve to lose their hearing.

Like i said...this thing is small...but you'd never guess that it could make as much racket as it does. No signal wire just a + & - connect it to a cheapo 500ma. 12volt wall transformer & it ear splitting time. Goin to use this as a outside siren to add to my x10 alarm system. Going to plug a transformer into a remote controlled unit for turning on & off lights with the alarm system. When the alarm is triggered...this siren will sound too.

Love this little piezo. I installed this in conjunction with a smart outlet and 12VDC power supply to create a “time to leave for school” alarm for the kids. Last year the kids were constantly late for school and so far this year not one day late yet (our schools starts in late July). I used to have 2 of these mounted on my Jeep years ago under the dash as a deterrent if somebody was trying to steal from it. I think the piezo sirens produced 15 years ago were louder than these but I still wouldn’t want to be within 6 feet of these when they are energized.
