Not inexpensive, but the quality, taste & satisfaction level make it a winner. Unlike other hard candies sold in a tin, this one is different; each individual piece is dusted w powdered sugar to keep them fresh & keeps them from sticking together. Live in S FL, so I know humidity. Think I’m on my 4th purchase & will keep counting.

These are weird for an American palette. When I first got these, I agreed with many of the reviews here: my first impression was that the rum flavoring was not only overpowering but off-putting (not that I have a problem with the flavor of rum but there's an alcoholic aftertaste that lingers on the tongue and even in the nose). But after the third or fourth candy, I got used to that and notice it less than I did at first. They're also dusted in powdered sugar, which is a fine but a little odd. Usually hard candies are sanded in a fine sugar to keep them from sticking to each other but I think the "creamy" part is supposed to be referring to the sensation of the powdered sugar melting in your mouth when you first pop one of these in. It's really these aspects of the candies that make them quite different from most of the butterscotch candies available in the US. Honestly not sure if I'll get these again, but they really do take some getting used to, and you can't go in expecting the caramel flavor to be prominent.

Excellent quality, real butterscotch flavor!

This is exactly how butterscotch candy is supposed to taste. This candy is more scotchy than buttery. I did not have an issue with pricing as I purchased for around $8. I was disappointed when I saw the size of the can, but it was full to the top and the candies are large. Overall, I am impressed with this candy!

I got this flavor because I love this brand of candy, and I always get their fruit drops. When I saw they had a butterscotch, I was so excited because butterscotch is literally my FAVORITE candy. However, I was so upset because these were just NOT good. Don't get me wrong, when you eat it at first, it takes wonderful. Just like a butterscotch should be, but as you eat it, i's starts to have a really strange flavor, almost like soap or a cleaning chemical. I kept hoping it was a mistake, so I continued to eat it. The weird taste comes and goes, but overall, I ended up spitting it out. I let my kids try it and I tried a couple more pieces, but we all said the same thing. I don't know if it as a bad batch, but it was very bad and overwhelming. We all spit them out and unfortunately we won't eat the rest. I wasted my money buying something we won't eat, so in my opinion it wasn't worth buying. It makes me really sad because I love their fruit drops, but the butterscotch one is just... not it.

How delicious is this brand.. from Germany. I know good chocolate comes from there, so why not good candy. A must try. Love the powdered sugar!

If you have never tried the Cavendish and Harvey range of sweets, you don’t know what you’re missing. Full of flavour reminiscent of childhood and well worse a try. Not just the butterscotch but the lemon ones as well are fabulous the challenge is to see how long you can suck them.

Rundum zufrieden und glücklich!Die Ware kam im ordentlichen Zustand,Preis von den Bonbon war echt fair,Fracht und Verpackung ist etwas hoch,aber da die Bonbon der Preis fair ist,möchte ich da nicht meckern. Und nun zum Geschmack,Dass ist so super lecker gut,ich könnte mich drin Baden!!! Und das ist kein Witz,vor sehr vielen jahren gab es die Bonbon bei der Lidl-Kette,doch auf einmal waren sie verschwunden,und irgendwann habe ich ich mich wieder daran erinnert,und dank Amazon :-) habe ich sie jetzt,ich hoffe das ich sie nun hier immer bekomme,weil es soooo lecker ist. Kaufen probieren,dann wissen sie von was ich schreibe!!
