This is how a reissue should be done!
Big Break Records reissue of Gloria Gaynor's "Love Tracks" is everything a fan of this album would want: a crystal clear remaster, reprints of the original artwork, informative liner notes and several bonus tracks. The first eight tracks are the album as it was originally released by Polydor with a 4:56 version of "I Will Survive". Later pressings of the lp would replace this version with the 8:02 12" version (Polydor did the same thing with "I Love the Nightlife" from Alicia Bridges' album of the same name). The 12" version is included as a bonus track along with 12" versions of "Substitute", "Anybody Wanna Party?" and Gaynor's Spanish version ("Yo Vivire") of "I Will Survive". A real standout is a previously unreleased Tom Moulton remix of "I Will Survive", it may not be the definitive version of the song (that honor would likely go to the 12" version) but it does give a much-played (deservedly) song a fresh take.To listeners who aren't already familiar with "Love Tracks", there is much more to recommend this album than "I Will Survive". "Anybody Wanna Party?" is a brilliant piece of funk. "Please Be There" is a nice slow-burning R&B track which proves that Gaynor is much more than just a disco singer. "I Said Yes" is strong enough that Polydor should have released it as a single.Big Break Records has released several other Gloria Gaynor albums on CD and I hope there will be more including "I Have A Right" (which includes Gaynor's disco version of "Tonight" from "West Side Story") and the underrated "Stories".

Masterpiece that survived and stood the test of time!
Gloria Gaynor's "Love Tracks", the Diva's sixth studio album, was released in 1978 smack in the middle of Disco's maddening peak. Only four years earlier Gaynor was at her peak, being dubbed the "Queen of the Discos". But the hits dried up after "Never Can Say Goodbye" and Donna Summer became Disco's reigning superstar Diva. The release of "Love Tracks" brought Gloria back to the top of the charts and made her a part of history. "Love Tracks" includes the eternal anthem "I Will Survive". There is no need to discuss that legendary #1 across the format smash. It speaks for itself 35 years later. But every one of 8 gems on "Love Tracks" is a masterpiece. Album opener "Spotlight" is a killer Dance groove, as is "Anybody Wanna Party?", which deservedly became an R&B and Disco hit. First single off "Love Tracks", the absolutely delightful "Substitute", is a delicious slice of Northern Soul Disco that should have hit as high as "I Will Survive". "I Said Yes" is an intense R&B Dance Floor killer that hits hard.As at home as Gloria Gaynor is on Disco songs, Gaynor's vocal mastery shines most bright when she slows down the pace. "Please Be There" and particularly "You Can Exit" are both beautiful quiet storm ballads on which Gaynor displays a warmth and passion that is irresistible. And of course there is Gaynor's stunning discofied re-make of "Goin' Out Of My Head". "Love Tracks" as a whole is that rare album where any song could have been a hit.Big Huge heartfelt Thanks to Big Break Records for re-mastering this long out of print masterpiece. As always with any BBR re-master, the sound is great, the liner notes are informative, fascinating and include a brand new interview with Gloria Gaynor. The original album cover art front and back is preserved. There are also 5 MUST HAVE bonus tracks here, with "I Will Survive", "Anybody Wanna Party?" and "Substitute" presented in their rare 12" Disco Versions. "I Will Survive" is also here in its very rare and previously unreleased "Tom Moulton Mix". It's a killer and is alone worth the purchase. A Spanish language 12" version of "I Will Survive", titled "Yo Vivire" is the final bonus track. A great gem of a find for any R&B collector.

I said Yes to love tracks
"Park Avenue Sound", "Love Tracks" and "Let me know (I have a right)" are to my taste the best of Ms. Gaynor albums for Polygram records back in the 70's. "I will survive" is her greatest hit ever. However, there are more hidden gems in this album. "You can exit" shows a mellow and sexy voice backed with beautiful music. "I said yes" is very catchy and funky. "Substitute" and "Stoplight" are happy day going songs.Overall this is a timeless recording to enjoy over and over again.

not the Japanese version
some speak over here about the Japanese edition. no, this is bbr edition, not only it has the full complete original album, but also the 12" of I will survive, substitute & yo vivire & a long mix of I will survive by Tom Moulton. this is my favorite record by Gloria Gaynor, the first I bought & the one to introduce me to her other work. I just love it, is so good & the extra tracks are collectible items. get it ! what are you waiting for. is gonna be sold out soon. is the best reedition of the year.

Great Album From Gloria
One of the many wonderful albums released by Gloria Gaynor. Contains the singles "Substitute" (the original A-side to "I Will Survive"--long & short mixes), "I Will Survive" (four versions), "Anybody Wanna Party?" (long & short mixes), plus particularly great LP-only tracks "Stoplight" and "Goin' Out of My Head." Highly recommended.

Gloria Gaynor at her best.
This is the very best of Gloria Gaynor. The stereo is mint, her voice is at he the top. If you wish real Disco by a female-then this is the one. The B G's are tops, but I personally thought that they were a Black-Baptist choral group. I do not use pictures for singers, only voice!

LOVE IT!
I already had this on CD but bought it for the Tom Moulton mix of I will survive. It's not as direct as the hit-version but really good, a really interesting take on the old Classic made back in the time. Buy this CD!

classic album from classic singer
Love Tracks is a real classic and it was high time it appeared on CD. And it's been done in a great way. The extras, the booklet, and the clear deep new sound make it worth the while. It prooves why Gloria Gaynor was among the best. Love Tracks is a gem.
