BLACK+DECKER Jig Saw, 4.5 -Amp (BDEJS300C)

This little thing is packed with power. I am cutting for a dollhouse and I have small hands. This is perfect for all of that. Very easy to use and control. The sled makes guiding the blade effortless. I am cutting 3/8 inch thick CDX and it goes through with no issues. My only drawback is I wish the cord was a little longer, but I just use an extension cord to make up the difference.

I bought this Black+Decker jigsaw in 2019 and I’m writing this after 6 years of use. It has worked reliably through all kinds of DIY projects without any major issues, while some of my other tools have already failed. It’s been consistent, dependable, and surprisingly long-lasting for its price. I bought it for $24 back then. It for sure is worth much more than that. Overall, a very solid and trustworthy tool that delivers great value over time.

I literally bought this while pricing jigsaws at harbor freight. The cheapest one they offered there was lipo battery one for $47, and then a corded one for $50? Why!?!......two barely known brands selling for almost twice the price of this Black and Decker jigsaw? No thanks, I did however purchase a small paint kit. So I get to the counter, and of course they're trying to upsell their store membership to me, so I informed the lady at the counter. Listen, Amazon didn't need me to sign up to a membership to get things at a normal "non inflated" price! The whole reason I was there to buy a jigsaw, was bc the one I bought from them 2 years ago died after 3 uses! I almost made that mistake again, but here's a nice well known B n' D jigsaw on Amazon! It's way nicer than the one I got from harbor freight, and very easy to use,....and more importantly actually works! Scan Amazon first, be smart, glad I did! This is a nice jigsaw, from a brand the well known brand,.... they've been around forever, yup 👍

I bought this for my bathroom remodel and a couple other diy home improvement projects around the house. However, my first use for this was something entirely unexpected; a stripped screw. I needed to eliminate a thick screw that got stripped in a door handle that I was trying to replace. I literally tried every hack that there was, and even tried to buy one of those special bits that impacts the screw and removes it but absolutely nothing was budging this dang thing. In a moment of complete desperation and insanity, I got out my new handy dandy jigsaw and thought I’d give it a try because “what’s the worst that can happen?” I opened the box and was highly disappointed to find that there was only one blade (meant for cutting wood) and unfortunately, the home improvement stores were closed at this point. I had an adult beverage to muster up some courage, knocked on some wood, and prayed for sweet baby Jesus to help save me should I really mess some things or myself up and went for it with my eyes closed (don’t recommend that part). Took me a little bit of finagling with the door handle and some time for that blade to make its shallow way through but by darn, I was finally able to get that screw off after 10 hours of worthless attempts. To regain my sanity, this purchase was entirely worth every penny. I can’t speak to the longevity of use but I was impressed how this little thing chugged along for that one job. Even though it’s low amps, I was surprised with the power and ferocity that this little hand tool has. The only thing that’s lacking is an assortment of blades that comes with the saw and a carrying case - yes, we’re all rolling our eyes at you, Black and Decker. All my power tools that I’ve ever purchased have always come with attachments meant for different materials, and it would be nice to have at least one cheap-o blade for a couple of different purposes included with the saw. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy or high tech for the price point but I did expect to have a little bit more of a multipurpose function for it without having to purchase additional materials right off the bat. If you’re in a pinch, the wood cutting blade does work for metal - it just takes a bit more time to get to that result and it’s definitely not a clean cut. I really hope this thing lasts for at least a couple of my home improvement projects before biting the dust but I will come back with any updates if it happens to fail. For now, this thing has my stamp of approval and I recommend it for small diy projects or hardware that is driving you to insanity.

Had an old, expensive jigsaw that died. Don't use them often, but needed to cut out some plywood circles so bought this simple B&D saw and am extremely happy. It's light, holds the blade tightly and does all you want from a jigsaw. Sight lines are good and the motor for long, thick cuts. Already have used it to replace my cumbersome circular saw in a few cases. Highly recommended.

Over the winter I stayed with a daughter's family. They had me do a few projects for them, which was fine. But there came a time when I needed to cut some plywood on a curve, and needed a good jig saw to cut the curve. Since I didn't have ALL of my tools with me at the time, I ordered this Black & Decker jig saw. I liked it because of the "no tools" method of replacing blades. While it doesn't have a lot of power for bigger jobs, the saw still cuts pretty fast through some 3/8" bead board panels. And it's much better than my 40 year old sabre saw that I had back home.

Too early to review but worked flawlessly for my small project, which I made for my kid! Looks sturdy, lacks LED.. great for a day job. Worth the price!

La uso para varios proyectos en la casa y no eh tenido ningún problema con ella, las hojas de cortes las eh conseguido fácil así que es un plus para mi (tengo herramientas que los cambios tengo que comprarlos aquí en amazon). Viene con una hoja para cortes de madera, pero la cambie por una de corte fino. Como toda herramienta que se conecta a la luz y uso por varias horas seguidas se calienta, pero nada que me tenga que preocupar o que empiece a oler a quemado.

The product is effective and works very well. However, be sure to purchase the additional accessories or parts needed for more precise results. This isn’t a precision cutting machine, so if you’re aiming for perfectly straight cuts, you’ll need the proper tools to support it. That said, it cuts very well, and the price makes it a great value.

La verdad aunque no soy experto en estas herramientas, la verdad me resulto súper útil para cortar unas tablas en muy poco tiempo y mejor que si las hubiera cortado con un serrucho, creo que es cosa de práctica para que mis cortes salgan más derechos, la sierra que trae incluida es de calidad, recomendable
