Onitsuka Tiger Rio Runner Fashion Sneaker

Stylistically, I am very pleased with this shoe. The fit is terrible, however. I ordered a size 12.5. Generally, I wear between size 12 and 13. I have worn Asics (primarily running shoes) for over 20 years and I am a huge fan of the brand. This is my first pair of Onitsuka Tigers and I didn't have high expectations. At the cheap price point, my main intent was to try the fit before committing to a more expensive pair. I expected the materials to be cheap (they are, but the shoe seems well-assembled). My complaint with the fit is that the shoe seems longer than one would expect for the size, while being extremely narrow - particularly in the toe box. The shoe itself is very rigid and not comfortable for walking. I would not consider this a true "sneaker". It is, as the name implies, more of a fashion accessory. It is less comfortable than even my cheapest pair of dress shoes. To make this shoe passably comfortable, it would need to have less taper to the width of the toe. As it stands, this is (in my estimation) a shoe to wear for car errands or simply for looks on office casual day. I wouldn't plan to walk more than a half-mile in this shoe or use it for any physical activity. I'm giving two stars instead of one because it looks good for the money involved, and as I mentioned earlier, seems built well despite the low-grade components.

I bought these first: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GOZZCXA/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_27 in size 11.5 (no laces) and i fluctuate between 11.5 to 12 in most brands...the linked shoes fit like a glove so i ordered these runner fashion shoes size 11.5 and was TOO SMALL! so I ordered the 12's and PERFECT...first two days took adjustment but only b/c i have worn "tennis" shoes all my life (athlete)...I will probably never buy another pair of "tennis" shoes ever...flat sole, simple all the way my back feels better, i walk more upright with my chest up, just small posture adjustments i noticed instantly making me SOLD forever...i've been an asics fan since college so pretty wild i didn't know they even had these till recently!

My boyfriend loves these so much, I wish they still made them. The soles are very soft, and make them super comfortable for walking all day and travel. He owns them in multiple colors. Also, do have in mind the holes on these shoes are not for ventilation but show reflective fabric undenreath. Both gray and black are gorgeous, he has both of them.

These shoes are great. They fit true to size and are super light. These shoes have some arch support but I would not recommend the insole if you need a lot of arch support. I also own a pair of the ultimate 81's which are great and have lasted a long time so I am not worried about these falling apart.

Compared to my Mexicos, these are very, very comfortable. They also look really good!

Really happy with this pair! It is really comfortable. I wish Onitsuka Tiger still made Rio Runners! It is very durable as well. Worth every penny! I wish I can find another pair in a different color.

I would like them if the lace leather didn't pinch my toes through the mesh when I step. The pictures online don't really capture the true polka-dot look of the shoe. I got compliments on how they look and I'd love them if they weren't painful. Maybe try a half size up, but mine were a real waste of money.

comfort shoes, good quality and style

Great shoes, really like this style. The material under the mesh is reflective so they look cool at night or when light shines on them. High quality, great fit.
