I love this beast

Only a recent purchase, I have had this beast for a month now and I love it. The build quality seems great. Yes, it is a bit clanky due to its shear size, but the size IS one of the things I like about it.The battery for the body is difficult to come by. I am currently using a A544 (6V) battery as a replacement and it works fine, with the lens shutter firing at all speeds. The cocking mechanism works great. The lens is easy to attach, although both the camera and the lens need to be cocked when attaching/detaching the lens. The viewfinder is beautiful to look through (I simply love it). 1.5 diopter is a great addition to the view finder, although I generally find that I need to bring my eye right to the diopter to make sure subject is in focus. The electronic indicator lights inside the view finder are positioned at the bottom edge of the view. They are not distracting when shooting. In fact, the only times I've noticed them was when the light lit up to alert me that my film slide wasn't pulled out, or when the film wasn't fully wound, etc.Of course, there is no metering with this camera (not with this waist level viewfinder), so you will need to do all the metering yourselves, manually. The strap attachments are nicely designed so that the metal "clips" do not scratch the camera.Bellows focusing works pretty well. Having used this camera for a month, I have come to prefer the bellows focusing to a standard focusing mechanism on a lens.A thing to bear in mind though is that you will need to adjust exposure compensation (in half stop increments) if your bellows are extended over a certain amount i.e. if the subject of your focus is too close.Different adjustment is required for different lenses. However, at the side of the bellows there is a chart off of which you can read the compensation values. The chart is easy to read, although it's position at the side of the camera is somewhat uncomfortable when you're out shooting and have a camera handing off your neck. For a studio set up this wouldn't be an issue. There are 3 focusing dials altogether, one on the left hand side and two one the right hand side (one of which is a fine focus dial).
