Pros: The handle is quite thick. Same diameter as a full sized sledge, only short. True handle length: 15.5" long (18" overall). Seated well in the epoxy, nearly straight. As for the steel, of the six sledges I ordered (pairs of 8lb,10lb,12lb), all of the heads had dent-free facing sides. Important!Cons: There's no fancy rubber grip. And it's ugly.Solutions: Use cloth hockey tape. Be a man.

i bought these for my employees at work. we work under strict msha regulations and my guys kept cutting the wooden handle on regular sledge hammer (which is a safety violation) to use in tight spaces. these worked great to solve our safety issue. and the price i no more than a regular long handle sledge.
