A very good size for my compost scraps and the color makes it kind of disappear on my counter. I like that the lid can be locked down by the handle. A bit less rugged than I expected but I’m optimistic that it will work for many years. I like it.

It does the job. We compost at the local convenience center so I needed to have something to deposit the kitchen food waste into until we made a trip to the dump. It's a plastic bucket that has a handle that locks the lid in place. It was pricey now that I see it's not impressively solid. Price for item received is why I give it four stars.

This works perfect for our kitchen, just the right size. The lid fits very well (doesn’t let smell out and doesn’t let our dog in) and handle is sturdy.

This holds a lot. I put my compost bags in it for disposal. The handle locks the lid so nothing can get in. A great value!

The bin itself is fine and the locking mechanism keeps the top shut, however, this bin does not keep smells in. Even when the locking mechanism is engaged, the top does not have a tight seal so smells will leak out. This is unfortunate since you'd think that would be a feature of a compost bin.

I love this bucket. I have another one from another source that I have been using for over 7years. WhenI saw this one, I immediately purchased it. It’s a great product.

This is an over-priced plastic trash can. It does *not* have vent holes or any mechanism to keep the bag from falling inside. There's also no latch, but you can kindof tell that from the photos.

I got this to replace a super old one I accidentally threw out. This one seems sturdy, but not like the one pictured. The one that arrived came with a black handle, not a green one.

Bought this bin for temporary storage of compostables under my kitchen sink in a single household. I use the product with compostable "plastic" bags, which works out well. The product has held up for a few years now and is very convenient and quite sturdy. The lid can be locked using two different positions of the handle. Easy enough to clean and typically needs a wipe down if there is any build-up of compost grime. Would recommend for a compost bin that's a reasonable size for under the sink and holds up over time.

This is a pretty good compost bin that fits standard size (under cabinet) compost bags. It's well made, with solid plastic and a good hinge. The locking mechanism isn't the greatest because it's built into the handle and would require you to flip the handle to unlock lock it before being able to lift the lid, but the lid has good enough weight that it stays mostly closed when not using the lock, so it keeps fruit flies to a minimum. I also like that it's a little larger than the oval-style ones provided by our municipality.

It’s fine and has a good size. The lid doesn’t really close/ clip in. The lid just lays on top and doesn’t really close it, letting smells come out.

I like this bucket. It's better than the one the Region of Waterloo gave us. That one is sold at Home Depot for $10. This one is on sale for $13. It's not super sturdy, but it's perfectly acceptable as a countertop compost bin. Large in size, and the lid is locked into place with the handle, so the lid won't snap/crack from constantly pushing to click-close. I place the handle in front, and then lift the handle and then catch the lid to lift. Super easy.

solid enough to fill to the brim and carry it by the handle, impressive. it's easy to wash and the plastic doesn't keep any bad smell. the way it locks is simple and works well, no smell come out.
