I have found all the books that I have received from this company to be extremely helpful in my workouts being lifting weights to yoga.

Good drawing material
I like how it shows you how to draw in 3-D. This is the first book that I have seen with instructions like this book. I also like how it shows pictures and not a lot of writing.

Very, very good overall information and presentation
I have been in the fitness industry for over 25 years. As a full-time trainer it is very easy to get into a rut of doing things that you’ve always done because they have shown to be effective. The notion of using exercise not just from metabolic conditioning, Hypertrophy or endurance, but for mobility within the context of the other modalities was very insightful. This book was worth reading simply to get that concept. The exercise examples we’re very insightful as well as helpful. Well rounded information. I recommend this book highly.

Better than the ACE Manual
Somewhat repetitive from the ACE PT Manual's coverage of Anatomy, Kinesiology, and Physiology. However, the inclusion of specific mobility, core strength and metabolic conditioning exercises with easy-to-follow directions makes it much easier to read and follow. Add to it the bodyweight, stability ball, medicine ball, sandbag, kettlebell, dumbbell, resistance tubing instructions and it surpasses the original certification textbooks. In my opinion, this book could easily replace the manual because it provides real-world examples and is not so caught-up with PhD-speak (and contradictory opinions) on every other page like the manual. Trying to read the original PT manual was like sitting in a library reading a decade of student dissertations. Not so with Smarter Workouts. Although it contains much the same information, it is presented in more of a lay person's format. Congratulations to Pete McCall for bringing it all down-to-earth!David HensonACE CPT
