Absolutely Perfect
I spent days searching through ceiling mounts for my mini projector before finally coming across this one. I needed multiple adjustments and this mount is absolutely perfect. Very sturdy and the adjusters are holding tight.

ball joint and elbow might be the absolute optimal solution (for ceiling mount only)
To me it was top priority to be able to position it to exactly the right height from the ceiling, and right throw distance to use the maximum space on the projector screen without using keystone. This thing met all my requirements. the arm was longer than necessary, but you could bend the elbow and angle it to shorten that distance. 2 ball joints can also let it move in all direction and angles to offset any inaccuracy of the anchoring position. The part that impressed me the most is that the ball joints can both hold well, but articulate and adjust effortlessly. I was definitely mentally prepared to spend minutes finding a position, locking the joint in, let go so it can settle and pray the angle is correct or repeat.. But no, you can tighten the ball just enough, and make mini adjustment by nudging. finding the position to get the margins under 1/2 inch on all sides of a 110 inch screen takes me no more than a few seconds now.I am thinking this is just universal physics tips anyone should know that adjusting dangling ball joint is just so much easier than anything that has to hold something upright against gravity... and like it is okay for a ceiling mounted ball joint to not be locked in 100% tight. It will hold the position anyways. If you ever somehow reach up there and accidentally bump it, just move it back. It will only take a few seconds.NOTE my observation of super easy adjustment may not work was magically if you mount it to wall or on ground/table where you would probably be required to lock the ball down as far as it can go for it to stay in its positionBut still I think I am definitely super glad to have chosen this over basically every other cheap or rigid looking ceiling mount I was seeing on amazon.

Akron Camera Mount
This was perfect. It adjusts to almost any position securely allowing me to hand my camera from a high suspended ceiling and adjust it so the picture is always level. The camera is used for art demonstrations.

One thing that concerns me...
I wouldn't have thought about this until I got it in my hands, and the product photos DO seem to reflect this, but: the mounting/post screw is kind of short.I have two other mounts with the "camera mounting post", and those two are much longer than the one here. Now, normally I wouldn't be terribly concerned, but my plan is to mount a small and lightweight projector from it. Not sure why the screw has been made so short, the post's collar is intended to "shorten the screw" if necessary. (NOTE: In the picture, I have this product on top, facing down, so that the screw sizes can be compared. Both of the products have a rubber'ish washer around the post, so that's not the issue.)Overall, the design seems good other than this flaw. The joints are tight when the screws are tightened and the joints are flexible when its time to arrange them. I also like that there are a variety of screw holes (and sizes) in the base mounting plate.

A very sturdy and versatile mount.
After trying a cheap 10 dollar option that failed miserably I was determined to find something that would just work, even if it cost a little more than I wanted to spend. Let me tell you, I'm so glad I spent the extra few bucks! This thing is so good. I'm using it in a little less traditional sense. I took an idea from one of the reviews here where they had their projector mounted on this and then some T-Track. I refined the design a bit as I wanted this thing to be really sturdy, and it is. I may have put most of my weight and hung off this thing for a split second to make sure it wasn't going anywhere... It didn't budge. Now I can move my camera into virtually any position I want for overhead and top down shots! If I need more range I can just mount more T-Track and bam. This mount uses the standard AMPS mounting pattern of 30x38mm. Mine also had three additional holes in a triangular pattern. I used some M3 head screws and nuts, I think they were 12mm in length. M4 screws will just fit though the holes, but I wanted a little wiggle room to account for just using a hand drill instead of drill press to bore them. The mount articulates very nicely with two ball joints on either end and an elbow joint in the middle. The elbow joint has teeth to keep it locked in place and the ball jointed have a small grooved pattern machined into them to really lock things into place. The camera and lens on here weigh in at only about 1.5lbs, but I can tell you thing can hold a lot more weight than that if it needed to. Not just hold it either, but LOCKS it into place. Super impressed with this mount that I actually purchased a different model Arkon mount to complete my setup.

Sturdy and reliable
The media could not be loaded. I recently upgraded to this metal camera wall mount, and it’s as sturdy as a fortress. It’s a significant step up from its plastic predecessor, which had the sturdiness of overcooked spaghetti. The old plastic one wobbled and shifted more than a dancer at a salsa club, causing my vodeos to slip and slide. But this new metal mount? It’s a game-changer. It's so robust that I'd trust it to hold up in an earthquake. It manages to maintain its position perfectly, even at the most unconventional angles. I've positioned it in ways that defy gravity, and it hasn't budged an inch.I plan to move it around frequently over time, but I have complete faith in its durability. It grips any position like a determined bulldog and doesn't let go. If you're looking for a wall mount that could probably hold up a tank (okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but you get the idea), this is the one for you.
