What does Medium mean? Is that the size of the lego or quantity as I've also seen large on the box type too. Hope not too silly of a question.

Medium and Large are referring to quantity. The medium is 484 pieces and the large 790. You will get both large and small "sizes" in each container. The Medium container I purchased included a book showing how to build animals, flowers, and other things. The grandchildren, ages 6 & 9, love to build with the blocks. I don't think you can ever have too many Legos!!

It's 14" Long, 6 1/2" High, 7" wide. It is also relatively light, at 2 lbs 4 oz.

Are they stack able? Can I place one box on top the other, with the holes interlocking?
