Works Perfectly
This check valve worked exactly as expected and was very easy to install. The push-to-connect design made the installation quick and hassle-free, with no leaks or issues. The valve feels well-made and does a great job preventing backflow. It fit perfectly with my existing 3/8-inch tubing and has been working reliably since installation. Overall, a high-quality fitting that performs as advertised. I would definitely purchase it again and recommend it to others.

Great, quiet backflow fitting
Used this to prevent backflow on a commercial-grade condensate pump. We have a steam humidifier and so we have to use a pump rated for 212 degree water. The backflow valve that came with the pump was nightmare - horrendous chatter when pumping, then god-awful hammer (and total lack of backflow prevention) on shutoff. This pump uses 3/8” copper refrigerant line for its output and pumps at a very high rate. This John Guest fitting has been inline for several (peaceful!!) months now. It is utterly silent, adding no turbulence while pumping and providing instant shutoff with no hammering or backflow. Installation is a dream and no leaks or other problems so far.

To prevent backflow in the RO system.
I bought this to prevent backflow in the feed water to the Ro system. Works just as it should. We live in the country and the electricity goes off at times. Our well kicks on at 40 psi and off at 60 psi. The RO system runs from 20 psi to 40 psi. If the electricity goes off the well pressure could drop below 40 psi and the RO could backflow. This check valve is just a safety device and lends peace of mind. I would buy it again.

Overpriced but still worth it.
this check valve is a difficult item to find right now, and I had to pay up for it. but the John guest brand works flawlessly and it's definitely not worth taking the risk having a flood in your house by using one of the Chinese cheap knock offs..
