Great mineral-based screen
My skin is sensitive to both the sun and traditional chemical-based sunscreens so I have to use the mineral-base ones. This is the best one I have tried. The SPF 30 still protects me well and rubs in a lot better than the SPF 50. It will still leave a white layer on your skin and I have seen some 1 star reviews because of it. However, that is how mineral-based screens work - they create a layer that reflects UV rather than absorbing UV into your skin and causing a chemical reaction in/under the skin. I do wish there was one that could fully be absorbed and not visible but... physics.

Very Thick
Great sunscreen for people will sensitive skin! This is one of the very few sunscreens that does not cause my face to break out. The bottle arrived super quickly and was actually bigger than expected! The only reason this did not get 5 stars from me is because applying the product it was so thick, the sunscreen never really disappeared, it left a white tint to the skin even if you continued and continued to rub it in, at least it was protective! A positive for this sunscreen is that a little did go along way, hopefully it will last me awhile then!

Needed for a trip to Maui - only mineral sunscreens are allowed
One of the more reasonably priced options. It’s a mineral sunscreen. Don’t dab it all over and expect to double back and spread it out. Doesn’t work that way. Get it on and spread it as quickly as possible. It turns into a dried on film fairly quickly so you’re in a race. Works as advertised. Lasts all day, even when in the water. Leaves a bit of a white sheen sorta. Kinda actually gives a purplish tone on Caucasian skin. It’s not purple by any means. It’s kinda funny seeing all kinds of people all walking around with their purpley (is that a word?) self. Getting it off in the shower is an experience too.

Not The One
This is my third try as a CeraVe mineral sunscreen and I can't say I'm a fan. It's not that it doesn't work for the advertised purpose of meeting SPF 30, I'm confident that it provides sun protection, but it has some unfortunate characteristics:- Only zinc provides a high degree of UVA protection relative to titanium dioxide, and the zinc content is very low, 5%. Other SPF 30 products contain 15%-20%. It's neither water-resistant for sport use nor a highly-effective choice for daily UVA anti-aging protection, which makes me wonder what it's really for.- Bizarrely, this is one of four CeraVe mineral sunscreen products I've tried over a few years that refuses to dry to a stable film. It's on towels, shirt sleeves, the interior of my car. There's a stubborn forehead print on my yoga mat from the face version and I had to scrub handprints off the bench at the gym yesterday. This might be worsened by mild summer sweating, but it's seemingly a trait of their overall formulation strategy.- Despite containing very little zinc, it goes on oddly thick and white. There's very little I can do to rub it in enough to stop leaving visible swirls around my arm hair and my arms look ghostly. There are competing mineral products that deliver a decent finish and also have high percentages of zinc. Three stars because despite the weirdness I do think it's effective and reasonably priced, washes off decently, and smells fine.

Highly effective and it doesn't make your eyes burn
This "mineral" sunscreen combines both zinc and titanium oxides in a smooth base that goes on easily, protects very well, and doesn't burn your eyes. It is also free from the organic chemicals that are banned in Hawaii and other places for damaging corals. I wore it every day for a week, being outside most of the day, and had no sunburn at all, not even mild redness. It didn't come off when I perspired and did not bother my eyes so I could use it freely on my forehead. The only downside is that it is not entirely clear and it gives one a slightly "clownish" appearance. It is certainly not as noticeable as the zinc oxide creams that lifeguards typically wear on their noses. I will purchase it again and use it exclusively.

Great sunscreen, will definitely buy again.
Great sunscreen. Was easy to put on. The whiteness of the zinc did not show up on my white skin, but my son who has darker skin, the zinc did show up on his skin. But that's ok, we did not want to get burned when we went hiking. Smells ok, smells like sunscreen, but a light smell. But, it did not feel heavy or greasy on my skin, which was a plus.

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE PURCHASING THIS!
I bought this sunscreen only because we were going to St Croix and they require a mineral sunscreen on the island. I definitely will not be buying it again though. As soon as we applied, we noticed a very prominent white casting. My husband and I looked like we got blasted with powder. I was thinking even though we both look ridiculous, at least our skin is protected. Well, it is NOT waterproof or water resistant. As soon as we got in any water (ocean or pool), it was no longer on us (not protecting our skin). I received a horrible sunburn on our 2nd day of our 7-day vacation. I was miserable for about 4 days. I regret purchasing this sunscreen. I always read the reviews of anything I purchase and most of the reviews were good so that’s why I purchased THIS particular EXPENSIVE sunscreen. Therefore I wanted to post a REAL review to inform people of what they are purchasing before they spend their money on it.-Leaves a very prominent white casting.-Is NOT water resistant or waterproof. If you plan to get in any water, you will NOT be protected from the sun until you get out of the water and reapply.

Pasable
