OK, so I saw this case and was intrigued. A iPhone battery case with Qi Wireless charging… For $7.99!Putting an $8 case on a well over $1000 smartphone? That’s craaaaazy!!! I had to get it, at that price how could you go wrong. Well let me tell you.…What they did here was basically take a Qi wireless charger and slapped a rubber case on the front of it. I mean it started charging my phone just by laying it on top, even with my old case on. So it could works just as a portable wireless charger in any event.But listen, the iPhone XS Max is a big boy on its own… But you add this case and it feels like you’re caring two of them. I have the case on now while I’m typing this and my pinky is getting a workout holding it up. Oh and the pocket bulge is unbelievable.But ok, I don’t plan on using this as my main case, just for vacations and plane rides so maybe it will be ok for that.But then let’s rate it as a case... it fits well but seems to offer minimal protection. Their is no lip to protect the screen from front facing drops.The back is glass and an absolute fingerprint magnet. It feels like an odd choice to put a glass back on a case that’s supposed to protect your glass backed iPhone.I do like the fact that since it doesn’t need to connect to the lightning port, it has the same size chin as most standard cases.Their is only one indicator light, so you have no idea how much of a charge it has. Every other battery case I’ve owned had 4 lights indicator lights.But the main thing that gives me pause is the warning that the battery shuts off when playing a game or watching a video due to overheating. It even says to keep the case away from children! What? Not the children!But for the price, I’ll give it a chance and update this review if my thoughts change...I mean hell, I have AppleCare, what do I have to lose.

Seems great right out the box! Easy to understand what to do. Charger port is a little tight to get the cord out the first time, but that’s with everything. Fits amazing. Love that I can use my normal charging port as well. Plus, when you charge the case, it will charge your phone as well. Worth the price, doesn’t feel cheaply at all. A bit heavy, but I like it like that.

It delivered the promise but because of the glass back, it's very heavy and thick. It's not for everyday use. But other than that, everything is ad described.

Really excellent battery life- several days in fact. Negative: it makes a slim elegant phone into a VHS tape sized square with the density and weight of a collapsed star.

It did more harm than good. I used it once and it drained my battery on the phone faster than normal. It happened on three separate occasions

It came very scratched on the back panel, everything else is fine and works perfect. Even with the scratches for less than $10 it’s a bargain.

I think it is a great value. I’ve only had it for a day so not sure about future value. I can say that it is thick and heavy, which is not a problem for me. It works as described. I’ll update after a use this for a while.
