Great product
Can’t expect it will give the best price to value ratio , but I guess that would be the same for most “ luxury” products However, Definitely one of the best steam iron on earth you can find I particularly like The fact that even it is a steam iron, it is extremely hot that work just like traditional non-steam iron, the best of both worlds combined

The best steam generator l’ve ever purchased
Although expensive it’s well worth it. After years of purchasing steam generator irons and them only lasting 2-3 years l thought l would invest in this model and l was particularly attracted to the 10 year guarantee. It’s very easy to use and provides the best vertical steaming l have ever had. the only criticism l would make is that the water container is quite small compared with the other models but once refilled it is ready to use straight away.

Not sure worth the money
I read complaints on this item as the filters are expensive but you don’t buy a Porsche if you can’t afford to fill it with petrol! That said it is a lovely piece of kit, whether it’s worth the money remains to be seen. Not had it long, just find the wire stand rather fiddly and cumbersome. I have purchased more filters just in case. I now crave to do the ironing. I guess when you have paid such a lot of money, for an iron anyway, it should inspire you , in my opinion. Initial teething problems have now been sorted and I whizz through my ironing in no time. As my hands are becoming arthritic, this is a god send. With regards to the filters I seem to get a lot of use out of each filter, but then I do not have a large family but still iron most things including sheets and numerous shirts and trousers etc. I could not go back to a traditional iron now, it laborious and time consuming.

Great steaming function
The most beautiful iron I’ve ever seen and functions beautifully. Both style and function have not been sacrificed. Really good for steaming. Decent amount of water in the carrier. And the iron has good weight to it Love!

Great design with professional results
From a design point of view this Laurastar is quite unlike any other steam generator iron I have previously owned/reviewed. From the moment you get it out of the box it is evident that it’s a somewhat different proposition from the slew of worktop SG irons that are almost the norm these days. There’s no denying it looks appealing – and immediately I was impressed by how compact it is and how the handle makes the unit so easy to move from room to room (should you want to) and with only one hand too. It is undeniably a brilliantly performing iron that produces great results. Steam delivery is consistent and powerful depending on how you control/operate the button on the iron’s handle (one press will produce a single blast of steam but continued pressing produces a continuous feed of steam at about a rate of three blasts per second). It’s impressive and remarkably the unit does not have to ‘pause’ (and not produce any steam) while the generator ‘loads’ the iron with more water/steam (it just seems to deliver the steam in a continuous and uninterrupted manner). All this makes short work of even the toughest creases I have thrown at it. The downside though is that due to the amount of steam produced – coupled with the relatively small tank – that the water tank does not last that long (and you should expect to have to fill this two or three times over the course of a an average ironing session). Having said that I am still adjusting to the Laurastar somewhat quirky method (and I am probably using more steam than necessary), The iron itself I would say is smaller than the average but it is light and easy to manoeuvre. It has a generous cord from the base unit and the base unit itself has a useful auto-retracting cable (so there is never any excess cabling cluttering the place up). It can easily be used on the floor or on a work surface. It takes about three minutes to heat up and become operational but once it has I would describe it as reasonably quiet in operation (the usual intermittent buzzing and grinding noises associated with SG irons are there but not overly obtrusive). I did find a couple of niggles though. The first is that I find the steam trigger is not placed where I would naturally and instinctively expect it (i.e. under where my thumb rests on the iron handle). It is slightly off-set to the side. No biggy really: I will get used to it. The other is that – due to the way the cord protrudes from the base of the ironing unit – you cannot rest the iron on it’s ‘heel’ on the ironing board while repositioning the item you are ironing (meaning you either have to clip the iron back in its rest in the base unit or – as I do – just leave it face down on the ironing board for a few seconds while you reposition your garment: this seems to work fine but I wouldn’t think you could leave it like that for too long). The other thing to consider are ongoing costs: replacement filters are required (and at this asking price I feel it’s an extra outlay I should cough up for to get the best performance and longest life out of it). There is no question that this is a highly capable and thoughtfully designed iron which will give professional results and – provided that it is maintained well – will give years of service. The product instructions and other paraphernalia that accompanies the unit are testament to Laurastars commitment to offer class-leading quality and customer care: it is simply in a different league to anything I have seen before. In short this is a great product: the only near comparison in my opinion/experience being the similarly priced but more conventional range-topper from Philips. The Laurastar certainly wins through from a design perspective though and, despite what may seem a lot of money for an iron, I would still say that the overall package represents good value for money. Recommended.

Good quality iron
This is a pretty good quality iron though a little expensive in my opinion. It gives all the stuff about how it will kill bacteria etc and who knows, the only things I do know is its pretty large and gives the impression of an industrial iron. It does a pretty good job at getting rid of creases in most things and is a pretty comfortable iron to use though the chord can be a bit annoying as its pretty thick and can get tangled easy. That being said because it pretty much sits on the floor there is no wobble when ironing and it gets through shirts quickly. Overall a good iron though the price is quite high.

Creases just vanish
I ordered this as an upgrade from my usual iron which is a continuous steam iron. This one has some positives, but a few design flaws that annoy me too. I'll start with the positives. Fairly easy to set up. Heats up quickly. Excellent steam and as a result gets rid of stubborn creases fast. I think for someone with an ironing business, it would cut down your ironing time for sure. Negatives for me and the reason I did not give it five stars. I found that even on a smooth cotton fabric the sole plate dragged a bit so I had to use the extra clip on soleplate which then worked fine, but it does make me wonder why they couldn't just put a decent gliding soleplate on the iron and be done with it. My cheaper continuous steam iron has one excellent soleplate. This avoids the need for extra bits needing stored too. The water tank does not have any carry handles or grips which makes it awkward to carry. My cheaper iron has a handy indented grip for carrying and filling the water tank. It is a handy unit with a handle for ease of storage, but then you have these extra bits..the soleplate and the arm for the steam pipe which clips onto the ironing board, it annoys me that they weren't incorporated into the easy storage somehow. I don't actually find the handle that comfortable to hold because of where the buttons are I need to keep my finger extended. My cheaper iron has the button to be pressed under the handle where you naturally grip anyway. I find the positioning on this one awkward, but that might just be what I am used to. The tank doesn't seem to last as long when ironing as my cheaper iron does. The filter maybe takes up a fair amount of the water storage space? Plus you need to replace the filters from time to time which aren't that cheap either. OK if you are ironing for a living I guess as this would be your livelihood. So, in conclusion. If I was ironing for a living as opposed to just for my family, then this might be a good sturdy workhorse of an iron which does give really good results. For just a family, unless you are the kind of person who irons absolutely everything ( like my crazy pal who irons her husbands underpants and socks) then maybe you'd be better with a smaller continuous steam iron.
