Well designed, sturdier than some, and comfortable to use.

Quality product but a little expensive

This snap knife is great aesthetically and functionally! The blade “magazine” can hold 6 blades so you always have a fresh blade on hand. The fact it also has a blade snap tool as part of it (just push the magazine release button and then you can slide the tool out, you just put it over the blade tip to make snapping the end of the blade safer!) I use this knife almost every day to open parcels, boxes, and crafting projects. Grab a pack of replacement blades (Stanley FatMax 0-11-718 18mm Snap Off Blades (5/10 Pieces)) And you’re set!

Very well constructed but quite chunky

I have several of these in my various tool locations. The extra blades in the body mean that you can always find a fresh and sharp blade when you need it - essential with so many DIY tasks. The bulk of the handle also ensure an excellent grip. My only irritation is that the screw plate on the back of the blade often seems to adjust itself if you store the knife temporarily in a pocket for ease of use, so you have to unscrew it before you can get the blade out again.

This was bought as a replacement for a light weight version. I like the locking blade and the spare blade storage in the knife. It feels comfortable to work with, almost too comfortable.

Just what I was looking for :)

Sturdy build. Everything works perfectly. Worth the investment as you will only ever need to buy blade replacements as they wear and, it holds a magazine full of blades which push up and replace blades which you can quick release when they're worn and finished. I love my knife 🔥

J'ai acheté ce cutter pour mes travaux de rénovation et j'en suis vraiment content. Je trouve que la qualité est vraiment au rendez-vous. La prise en main est très bonne et le cutter paraît vraiment solide. Le changement de lame est également très pratique et rapide. Pour couper du papier peint, je conseille vraiment de mettre une lame neuve : la coupe est beaucoup plus propre et précise. Je l'utilise également pour le placo et il coupe parfaitement, notamment pour les découpes et les petites finitions. La lame de 18 mm est suffisamment large pour avoir une bonne rigidité et permet de faire des découpes propres. Je m'en sers aussi pour couper du carton épais et différents matériaux souples lors de mes travaux. Points forts : Très bonne prise en main. Cutter solide et robuste. Lames de 18 mm. Changement de lame rapide. Coupe parfaitement le placo. Très pratique pour le papier peint. Bonne précision avec une lame neuve. Également pratique pour le carton et les petites découpes de rénovation. Très bon rapport qualité-prix à 14 €. Point faible : Aucun défaut constaté pour le moment. Je suis vraiment satisfait de ce cutter. C'est le genre d'outil qu'on finit par avoir constamment à portée de main.

I contacted Stanley to inquire if I could buy the thumb screw that allows the blade extension and locks it in place. I broke the one off my years old now knife. Nope, no parts available for my old model ... BUT instead they said sorry it broke and promptly arranged to send me a brand new replacement. That's service that deserves encouraging so from here on out if Stanley is one of the choices for tools I want, they win :) BP
