Steam Train Whistle with Threaded Base by Mintz Whistles

This is supposed to sound like the Baldwin locomotive 5 chime whistle, and it definitely sounds good! I do not know enough about the sound of a steam whistle on a Baldwin locomotive to say if it really sounds like a Baldwin 5 time, but you can hear the five different tones. I have only used it while blowing into it by hand, but it will be going in my car eventually. It seems to be well made, the threads on the bottom are in good condition, and it sounds great!

Nice little whistle with a big sound. I mounted this on my 60 year boat with a compressor under the dash. It's an attention getter!

For fun I hooked this up to a wet steam system. From the video you will see the steam pressure overpowering the design size. It was also hooked up to air in another video. This works well for both Air and steam at very low pressure. Please refer to the manufacturer recommendations.

Love tone however wish it was louder we’re running it at 50 psi

I haven't actually tried it yet, with compressed air or live steam, but it is small enough to fit on my new steam when it is ready. I will try it on someone's else's steam engine before mine is ready. However, it does not come ready for using it with a steam locomotive, because it must be connected to a On/Off valve to demonstrate it's effectiveness. I haven't gotten that far yet and need some more pipe to connect it together with steam valve I purchased with it. This will be weekend project to test it either with compressed air, and later with live steam.

Where are the stars of it is got a real big loud noise I love it I was shocked at how loud it really was
