This is the right window opening device or child security latch for up down sliding windows for Anderson series. This will allow you to pass inspection if you have windows opening into a pool or if you have a small child or a second floor window you worry a child can open or for general purpose security reason. This looks good and can be easily installed on wood or even vinyl windows. Very happy with the purchase. Use instructions correctly, consult your local code and be aware of fire safety regulations in your house or area (since this would limit escape too so you must use it in accordance with your local safety measures. We are happy with this purchase!

Great if you have Anderson Windows only
Really expensive but they work well. I just wish I didn't have Anderson windows because the competitor's are much cheaper but don't work on Anderson windows so you are stuck.

Broke my dual pane glass
I have Andersen dual hung windows and I. tried installing these and the glass cracked. The reason I bought these were because I thought they would be compatible with my windows. But sadly not!
