INCRA Build-It Panel, Small 7-3/4-by-15-1/2-Inch

They're making a fortune selling pre-drilled MDF, but it's accurately drilled, and I get to work on projects that sit in my living room instead of hand-building jigs that sit in my shop, which is an OK trade in my book.

It looks like they want me to review several INCRA jig products that I recently purchased. They are all great! You can shop-make all of the things that you can build with the INCRA system for less $$. However, they are very convenient, accurate and well-designed. The "5-cut Cross Cut Sled", for example, is a great way to go, but INCRA makes it so simple. I have made a cross cut sled, squaring sled, box joint sled and a couple other things with INCRA stuff. This purchase was to add to the Basic Kit that you have to start with. My only "complaint" is that when you make a jig with this, it is pretty much permanent. In other words, you don't make one just for one job and then take it apart and use it for something different the next time. Guess that's just like any other jig you make for shop use.

Like the ad says, they make good jigs used on table saws, etc. Made from MDF. You can make them yourself but not for cost and your labor.

Worked as it should

I bought 2 of these and 1 of the smaller boards, the larger ones came with a nice white laminate like coating on the top side, looked very nice, the smaller did not, I returned to smaller board which had no top coating and purchased another larger one the same day. it came in with no coating at all, so I have 2 white and 1 natural, I know its just a jig, but can't we at least get the same product when purchasing more than 1.

This item preformed as expected. Price is to high. Easy to use and understand. Would like to find a less expensive equivalent item.

Beautifully made and accurate cutting and holes. Edges chip easily though because it is only craftwood/ MDF. I will try to seal my jigs with polyurethane at least on the edges to help stop the edges chipping.
