Great addition to our MaxxFan Deluxe
We've used these for years in our RV (we're full time) and it has held up great. The light is our only light in our small bathroom. The light color is the "blueish" LED and not the soft white we prefer, but the ease of install and the roller shade made it a no brainer.

No Window, Just a Shade with Led Light
To be honest, I am highly disappointed with this product. I just received it today, and have come to find out it is actually a (Cover) for a separately purchased window or fan opening. With the price as it was, this led me to think it was going to be an RV Window With A Shade And Led Lighting!!!!!!!!! I will try to make it work, after I Now have to purchase a window to use with this product!!!!!! How about adding a few more photos so we can see there is No Window?????

Love this Shade
We purchased for our travel trailer and what a difference it has made in darkening the interior, keeping the RV cooler and helping the AC to keep up in the heat

nice
I wanted to add one of these to my bathroom fan to block off the uv light from going through my Maxxair bathroom smoke vent to help with the summer heat in Texas. The install was straightforward, and easy. 2 people doing the install would be ideal, but with only one doing it, like I was, was just a little more time consuming and awkward then it would have been with 2. The light is nice, the slide is useful as long as you connect it correctly and don't let it slip through your fingers. Nice product.

With fingers, gently pry apart adapter from MaxxShade shroud.
I was skeptical that the installation was going to be as easy as the package described. It was. Gently pry clips on all 4 sides apart the adapter from outer shroud. Remove four screws from current fan garnish ring and remove it. I taped (masking tape) the adapter to the garnish ring so I could put the assembly up without help. I reused current garnish ring screws. Tighten screws. Snap the shroud back onto adapter. Gently tap all four sides until shroud is flush with ceiling. I did the install, including reading the directions twice, assembling tape and screw gun in about 15 minutes! It's great! Now when I stop at a highway rest area overnight, I can block out the parking area overhead lights from my bedroom!.

Stopped working in less than a year
Unfortunately the shade relies on a friction tab to keep the shade closed. It is not a positive lock. Within a year the shade started snapping (it is spring loaded) from the closed to open position at random. Apparently the friction tab wears over time and no longer wins the battle over the stronger spring that wants to open the shade. I replaced the friction tab after a year, thanks customer service, but within a few months is was back to not working. I was actually able to talk to some of their reps at an RV outing, and they seemed aware of the problem, and that it was an oft reported issue, but were unable to offer any “fixes”. It really is a poor latching solution, and I was hoping they had come up with an improvement to this defect, but alas, the current version still uses the same plastic friction tab that will likely fail once it is used enough times. It really is too bad, as otherwise it is a nice solution.

Sadly it didn’t work for my application
I purchased this to install on my inTech Horizon trailer, which has a slightly curved roof and a close proximity of the fan to a kitchen cabinet. Unfortunately the shade would not function with the manual knob and I could not get an extended one for a reasonable price. Additionally the cabinet could not open with the shade in place, making the shade more of a problem than a solution.
