How big is the bag, would it fit school books, wellies, lunch box ect?

It's quite a big backpack, I bought it for my niece who is 5 and it fits her lunch, books and little school blazer in. Unsure about the wellies, depending on the age but when I bought it, it was alot bigger than I was expecting. Definitely good for school

I would say yes it is too big. The size is in between the toddler backpacks & the school backpacks. My daughter is 4, it is a little on the big size for her on her back, but ideal for school with her P.E. clothes, lunch box etc.
