Loved it; add a metal cup for the perfect system. And maybe consider the Micromo model.
Really happy with this product and the customer support. The only reason I had to use customer support was because I had never used anything like this before and I had a question. They were super responsive, actually called me back and followed up. Above and beyond.Heats water fast! I did have a little trouble with ignition, but if you find yourself with the same issue (and this seems to be quite common with any brand of this kind of product), try using a needle nose pliers to bend the ignition wire down a little closer to the metal grate. That fixed my problem tout de suite and now it sparks reliably every time.I liked how this model allows an easier time eating from it with a utensil, because it's not so deep and a little wider. However, because of this, the fuel canister just barely doesn't pack inside it. That is unfortunate because otherwise the whole unit would be self contained and condensed. If they just made it the slightest bit taller to allow this it could be the best of all worlds. As it is now, I feel like there's a little wasted space inside when it's all packed up, but not enough to really do anything with. There is another model, the Micromo, that fits everything inside, but then it seems a little too tall and not as easy to eat out of.When I used mine just recently, I didn't also bring my Stanley metal cup set because my intention was to replace it with this Minimo. However, since the Minimo has a coozie around it, I found myself sad that I didn't also have something to heat water in the fire, thus being able conserve fuel at times when I'm allowed to build a fire, or to have two means of heating water at once. For instance, my friend could use his cooker for his oatmeal and a metal cup in the fire for his coffee. I had to heat the water in my Minimo for the oatmeal and then put it in the plastic cup that comes with it, and then heat more water for my coffee. But then I'm drinking coffee out of this container that's too wide and there's so much surface area that my coffee gets cold quick, and then the plastic thing isn't as easy to clean as the metal... It's just not ideal. But then if I added some kind of cup to my pack it would yet be another thing to find room for. Well, I looked and looked, and thanks to REI because they have all this stuff out on display as demos, I found the perfectly sized titanium cup that will pack right into the Minimo! The 10 oz. cup that comes in the Snow Peak Titanium Mini Solo Cookset fits right in! It's expensive, as I haven't found the 10 oz. cup offered as a stand-alone purchase, but it's super lightweight and complements the Minimo perfectly while adding no extra volume and hardly any weight! So really the only reason for 4 stars is because if they could add just another quarter inch to the height of this thing the fuel canister would fit inside it, along with the 10 oz. Snow Peak cup, and yet it would still be easy to eat out of and compact. Maybe the answer is to find a metal cup that fits inside the Micromo model and just deal with it being taller for trying to eat out of. Ultralight packers need to be able to make the most use out of every little thing that takes up room and weight in their packs.

Best lightweight camping burner.
Love this backpack stove. Used it while camping throughout iceland and never once had any issues. Used it for everything from boiling water, to cooking pasta or sautéing veggies. It filters out the wind quite well with the guard around the flame and allows for the water to heat in just over 2 minutes depending on how much you're trying to heat at once.It completely packs up in to one small unit aside from the gas canister. Some people said they could fit their in the pot along with everything else but unless you bought a small fuel canister, i don't see how that works. The strainer lid on top is also great for cooking pasta. Its also great for controlling the flow of water when you're pouring it into something else. The simmer function on the flame throttle is also nice if you're wanting to sauté some veggies with your meal.Highly recommend!

The Good: I love the fact that you can control ...
I purchased the stove last week, and have prepared a couple of camp meals on it thus far. This review is my 1st impressions of the stove. The Good:I love the fact that you can control the heat from simmer to a violent rolling boil. It boils water very quickly (2 min, 20 seconds for 2 cups of cool water out of the tap.) I used the simmer feature to cook some Ramen noodles It worked fairly well...not perfect, but good enough. Being able to control the temperature/boil of a compact stove is new for me as the last stove I purchased was almost 30 years ago. The wide mouth cup/pot was perfect for stirring during preparation and eating from when the meal was ready to eat. I saw other reviews where the Pezio lighter did not function....the Pezio ignition/lighter works perfectly on my stove. The Bad:I know it will drive me crazy, but hopefully I can get used to the fact that the gas control lever operates counter-intuitively. You have to turn it to the left to open the gas jets, and to the right to shut it off. (Exactly the opposite of what we would normally expect.) Why would Jetboil do something like that??? (I have no idea.) I made the mistake of purchasing the larger can of fuel since it was only $1.00 more than the smaller can. I didn't consider that the larger fuel can would have to be packed separately as the fuel and the guts of the stove do not both fit in the cup. I will only purchase the small canisters from here on out so that I can fit it all together when packing it up.Overall, my 1st impressions are positive. My hope is that it will continue to serve me well over at least a decade (hopefully more).

Great system BUT No UK customer support
Edit 3: after a year of use I love my mo. No issues found etc just reliable fast water every time even in non favourable conditions. Just a shame about the initial customer service issues but I have heard that has been overhauledOriginal post: Good little system. My mate has one and after seeing him use it and trying his. I bought one. Heats up pretty fast but for me it’s the compact nature of the product as well with the weight (I’m not going ultralight per se but it’s a major lean to).Edit: 5 stars to 2 because of customer support.BUT there is no customer support in the UK. I think I have been unlucky with mine having a faulty burner but when in contacted the UK distributors they were rude and unhelpful and so having to go through my retailer they just want to give me my money back instead of replace it as they have become more expensive now to buy so I think I will look towards the MSR windburner as general forums show that they have people in the UK to talk to.

Worth every penny!
Absolutely brilliant piece of kit, yes they are not cheap but they are worth every penny. Extremely well made. Packs down into one unit, extremely fast boil and yes it can simmer food. If you want the Best Buy this stove.

Ok'ish
Its a bit fiddly attaching the container to the cooker, the pot adapter is flimsy and a bit awkward to attach to. The container is wrapped in neoprene to prevent burnt hands. Looks ok, boils water quite fast, not the fastest though, its bulky, and remember you've got to carry the gas separately.`

Good bit of kit.
Great bit of kit.A little unhappy that I also ordered a jetboil pan support for £13 because it says this does not come with the jetboil and it does. Maybe should changed that on the advert.Ather than that I'm a happy camper.
