You might try removing one of the casters from your chair and measuring the stem. If they are the same as the replacement casters then you should be alright. Locking wheels fit most of office chair. Stem diameter: 7/16"(11mm)x stem length: 7/8"(22mm).

No they not self locking. they have to be manually locked. for the price they are pretty okay.

Can these castors be installed on a regular wooden kitchen chair without wheels?

I don't know. I replaced my caster wheels on my dining room chairs with these because they have brakes whereas the previous ones didn't. So far these have worked well.
