Yes -> it has a 1Terabyte drive that can be user upgraded to 5T.

How do i upgrade my gen 2 nvr 1tb to 5tb?

There is a slide lock underneath. Open it and insert a 5TB drive. It will auto configure when you turn it on.

Do you need to setup port forwarding on the router to access remotely or does it work like a P2P connection?

No ports need to be set up in the router/firewall. The Cloud Keys phone-home and initiate the connection. It works exactly the same as the UniFi software installed on a Windows host, the Cloud Key just eliminates that need for the PC running it. (The plus additionally provides 1TB of NVR service for UBNT cameras and is very similar to UniFi Video software running on a server.)
