Skillstreaming the Adolescent/Skill Cards 1st Edition

The cards are informative and useful. The way I need to use them required me to manually separate into 8 different identical sets of cards. It would have been easier for me had they been pre sorted. However, I didn't notice this was 8 sets when I placed the order and was pleasantly surprised!

Cost is high for many that would benefit from these

I was not happy with this purchase. I guess I was hoping for more than just a reprint of the skills on cards and I didn't realize that you got 8 sets ofeach cards. This was not worth the money. A few minutes with a word processor would have the same results.

Not what I expected....for the price, the print quality is poor.

As a children's behavior therapist I use these cards and the Skillstreaming program proactively and selectively in dealing with day to day issues for these children to provide alternative ways of dealing more successfully with their problems than they have been. I have so far utilized them individually and with siblings but intend to use them with a group of high risk teens who, individually, seem to appreciate skill building more than others. I thought by the adolescent set I could "dumb-down" the skill cards to use with younger children but, after using the adolescent set for about 6 months now and in reviewing the skill book for the elementary school age children, I see enough positive difference to invest in this set also and plan to do this soon. If you work in any capacity where you have the responsibility of investing into the lives of children, from parents to clinicians, I highly recommend the Skillstreaming program for it's content and ease of use. It's become an important intervention for my use.
