Well built and solid
Use it for the nostalgia.. I’m a cashier and work on tips… it’s payed for itself already. Conversation starter for sure.. works great and as intended. Only draw back is one has to manually click all the coins out one by one at the end of a shift so don’t over load it.

Ok
It's not the quality of the ones from the late 1960's. I worked as a curb hop at age 15. It's OK and it functions. Got it for the memories .

Vending Machine? Yard Sale? Toll Booths? Laundrymat? No more problems with any of these
Every time I use this dispenser I'm always getting asked about it. "Oh that's cool!" "Where did you get it?" "How does it work?" Everyone wants to know about the dispenser. If you need to vend change or want something to give you access to exact change quickly, look no further than the McGill Changer. The device is manufactured in Taiwan and has a simple design consisting of metal and plastic pieces. The top plate, individual change tubes, bottom plate and individual metal rings that act as dispensers, change tube levers, back braces and supports, plastic base, and belt clips. The changer works by pressing the lever of the tube you want to dispense from. This pushes out the metal ring at the bottom, vending one coin per push. The levers can be pushed quickly to get the desired amount of change, however going too fast can result in a jam. These can be cleared by turning it upside down or pushing the change back in with a finger. Loading the changer is done through slots in the top plate. This method can load the tubes to about 3/4 capacity, loading to full capacity requires back loading. Back loading is done by turning the changer upside down and pushing the lever to push out the metal ring. Once the metal ring is out, you place the coin in the ring and release the lever. This draws the coin into the tube. Once completely loaded, the dispenser holds nearly 20 dollars in change and has modest amount of weight to it. More than once I've paid for small purchases without ever open my wallet. The changer hooks to your belt by two clips and is curved to hold on to waist better. I don't recommend sitting down while wearing this as it fairly uncomfortable to do so. I do recommend keeping the dispenser filled to full capacity whenever possible, the change and belt clips jingle every time you take a step and filling the tubes reduces the noise somewhat. Make sure you clip this onto your belt fully, otherwise one or both of the clips may come of your belt. Fortunately this is of solid construction and can handle being dropped.Having access to quarter, dimes, nickels, and pennies makes paying in cash much, much easier and faster. The only thing that could make it better would be tubes for 1 dollar coins and half dollars. For anyone thinking that the McGill Changer is lame or dorky, don't. I've gotten nothing but positive comments on it, especially from women.

Hope so - it was a gift requested on a wish-list.
Gift requested by my son on his wish list, I suspect he loves, but I can't confirm that.

High quality old time coin dispenser
I first saw these as a young kid on the Chicago public transit buses. The passenger would pay the driver the fare as they boarded the bus and the driver was wearing one of these dispensers on his belt to make change for the passengers as needed. Even then I remember thinking it was cool. When I saw this dispenser I couldn't resist. The chances to get one may be running out. I mean, how much longer will we even be using coins anyway? The operation of this coin dispenser is great. The levers to dispense each denomination of coin are pushed down with the thumb while holding the palm under the coin cylinder to catch the coin. The levers have tight springs and the dispensing arm swings out one, and only one, coin every time without fail. It is solidly built and feels like it will last a long time. I keep it in the car and put coins in it instead of the ashtray which is so deep it takes a lot of manual dexterity to get the coins out. The dispenser is a much better way to go and is handy for tolls if you don't have the electronic toll pass. Otherwise it is just a handy way to organize coins and it holds a lot of them. I have not calculated, but if you filled each coin cylinder full, it would be a fair amount of money.I have not tried wearing it on a belt so I can't comment on that, although the belt clip seems like it would allow the dispenser a lot of movement. For my uses it is great so I gave it 5 stars.
