Imelod Transducer works very well
Got this MD20 pickup attached to Banjolele so I can record it to a DAW. The small circular mic picks up and transmits an accurate sound; the volume could be a little louder, but double tracking does the job, and at this price it’s definitely a bargain.

Really good value for money. Happy with this.
Bought this to stick on my A type acoustic mandolin. Have been researching mandolin pick up options, and basically came to the conclusion that you either buy a cheap one like this - or you spend over £100 on something of pro standard. I clipped the input end to the strap button of my mandolin and then stuck the pick up underneath my strings just before the bridge. I plug the mandolin into my cheap Fender Champion guitar amp and it sounds fine. A bit of delay and reverb makes it sound great, and I have the controls on my amp to EQ the sound. For £9 I am very impressed with this and would recommend it to anyone. I haven't tried it at full volume with a band yet, but have turned it up quite loud at home and have only had feedback problems when I turn the gain up too much or add distortion. This little pick up probably doesn't sound good if you're plugging in straight to a PA system, but through a guitar amp is sounds fine to me. Very happy with this purchase.

Works brilliantly!
Accidentally ordered an induction pickup, forgetting my son's acoustic has nylon strings which won't work, so got this instead. Works like a dream, he can now use his amp and built in pedal effects, yes it's microphonic and will pick up if you tap the guitar body, but there's no better way IMHO to amp an acoustic that doesn't have metal strings.

WOW!
It is absolutely amazing for such a small price, have you got a string instrument with no amplification but have an amp, Then buy one in my opinion for£8,?you cannot go wrong and you do not need to be a specialist to fix it, as one subscriber states use blue tack to fit it not the sticky pads supplied which could damage your instrument should you wish to remove it in the future.

You are committed
Sound quality on a concert ukulele was surprisingly good but to susceptible to body noise compared with microphone. Two reasons for experimenting - potential live performance and home recording. The main thing I didn't like was the permanent fixing. It attaches to the wood with some very sticky and good quality patches. These need to be like that for the pickup to work, however, from my bare wood uke, there was no way the pickup was going to be able to be removed again after any length of time without damaging the uke. Also it meant that it wasn't really practical to experiment with different fixing positions. Also, there wasn't a good way of putting the wire discretely out the way and the rubber attachment for holding the lead was overstretched on the strap button and didn't look like it would stay put in use.So, I would say good if you are committed to needing a pickup because it is tricky to mike up an instrument and you are happy to have it permanently attached and don't mind scruffy.

For the money, excellent
Used on an acoustic built by my grandad in the 50s, wouldn't use the sticky pads as would damage the wood, however, as another reviewer said, it works fine with a bit of bluetack. Happy with my purchase.

Piezo Pick-up
Good value for money.I use these on the Cigar Box Guitars that I make. I sometimes mount them externally just by the Bridge, other times I hide them internally.Good sound and tone, when played through an Amp.
