Great quality kit to repair the instruments in your GM dash module.
I found this kit worked extremely well to repair several of my nonfunctioning guages in my 2005 Chevy 3500 instrument module. The video should be watched first, before removing the stepper motors and replacing them with the new ones. This is a complete kit and the replacement parts are first quality. The price is very good. The shipping was fast and the kit was packed well. I recommend this seller for this stepper motor repair kit.

Everything appeared to be good quality. Replaced three motors on my 2005 suburban
Product arrived as described. Everything appeared to be good quality. Replaced three motors on my 2005 suburban, tach/speedo/oil pressure. Works great so far. Was pretty straightforward. I have minimal soldering experience and did not find this too difficult. My only recommendation is to not buy the cheap "solder suckers" you see on amazon. I bought the blue $5 one and it was useless. You have to get the tip of the sucker so close to the solder puddle and the space is very tight. I just used the solder iron to heat up the solder and applied tension to the motor at the same time, pulling it one side at a time. By the time I did my third one it took me about 1-2 minutes to get the motor off. Make sure you straighten the pins on the back before removing as well. Didnt change any bulbs, may do that next as one seems dim. Good luck.

Love this product!!
We have been without a speedometer and other gauges on our 2003 Suburban for a couple of years. The dealer wanted a fortune to replace the instrument panel and the best price I found to refurbish it was $149.00. I watched a couple of videos on how to replace the gauge motors and thought this was something I could tackle. I already had a soldering iron but had to purchase a desoldering pump (this makes the job so much easier). I was able to take apart my dash, remove the instrument panel and replace all six of my gauge motors in around 1 hour (much less time than expected). We've been on two long trips since the install and everything works perfectly. I don't know of a product that we have been so pleased with and it only cost us a fraction of what we were looking at from the dealer. You do need to have some soldering experience or watch some videos to help you learn but most people should easily be able to handle this project.

I saved my instrument cluster with these
You will need a good precision soldering iron, solder sucker, good flux, and good solder. Obviously it takes some degree of skill to replace these, its straight forward and doesn't take long to do. You can accurize your gauges, too. The instructions are very good.

Appear to be genuine Switec...
No comparison between the factory steppers and these. All but one was serviceable, but I still replaced all of the steppers. Factory units had some of the stops ruined and the cogging from step to step was not even and linear like the new ones. You can feel it turning by hand. These appear to be legit Switec steppers. One word though. Not enough bulbs to replace the backlighting, but the bigger problem is that one of them was defective. I know these bulbs are cheap, but you really should have a way to power this board up out of the vehicle... as one bulb I replaced was half brightness compared to the others... and it was extremely hot. The potential to melt plastic was pretty high with this oddball bulb. The filament must of had an internal short causing more amp draw and less light output, but if one simply replaced parts before testing, you may have a serious problem with plastic longevity.Would buy again if needed. I’d do an LED upgrade as well but I like the OE look at night and it’s less fiddling at the end of the day.

Easy installation, no problems, works as expected
If you're even slightly comfortable working with a low wattage soldering iron, replacing the instrument cluster stepper motors is easy. The Dr. Speedometer website, or several YouTube videos, show you how to do it step by step. The only "trick" to the job is to make sure and turn the needles to the right away from the "zero" point before reinstalling into the cluster. The vehicle will zero the servos when you hook the cable up and if they are already at zero, then you will get various error messages. I had to remove and disassemble the cluster twice before I figured this out...Shopping was fast and no problems with the vendor. The large needle remover was an added bonus.
