After using for over a year, ordering 2 more. Love these
This has been my favorite thermometer over the past year for min/max readings. No wi-fi or internet needed. Simple, straight-forward, works. Just ordered 2 more to put in two garden beds to compare how well winter protection on the garden bed works (one covered, other not).I use this to take pics of the min/max and then reset it when I want. Works perfectly for that.I have a different digital remote thermometer that works well too, but its reading of the min/max reset at midnight and it won't show the day's min and max on same screen. That one does let us check current temps and do alarms, so use it for that. This one is better than that for min/max though. It also gives temp to one decimal point, whereas the other one is always roinding up to nearest whole number (even if .1). So this one seema more accurate. When I got this and the digital remote one I also got an old clockface type (which totally failed to weather the weather). This min/max/current temp has lasted 120° F+ and single digit° F temps just fine, still accurate it seems too.

Looks good, works well
Just what my wife needed for her greenhouse, it has a look that fits in perfectly. Maximum and minimum easy to read.Might be better with humidity, but that would make it larger and more cluttered.

A Great Min/Max Thermometer
For a simple min/max thermometer, this is the best I’ve ever found. Years ago I purchased one to keep on my porch, and it has never failed me, so I finally decided to buy another for my greenhouse. Unlike some that automatically clear the recorded temperatures every 24 hours, this requires manual clearing, so you never accidentally lose your data and can clear it when you’re ready.

Says it’s water resistant/outdoor but then basically says not to put it outside…
I bought this because it wasn’t expensive, was digital, and I could hang it in my greenhouse.I’m not saying this is a bad thermometer, but it’s not what I need. Here’s my opinion:On a budget, this is a good price. However I don’t know that it’s 100% accurate.Registers same temperature as outside the greenhouse with only a couple degrees difference (shouldn’t it be more than 5 degrees F?).I’ve not done multiple testing in the greenhouse cause ain’t nobody got time for that. I put another thermometer in today, so I can see if it is, but I’m not going beyond that. This is my first year with a green house in WA, so I’m super picky in what I’m looking for.If you’re keeping it under a porch where it’s not gonna get wet ever, and you don’t need to control a greenhouse temperature like I do, then it’s probably going to be just fine. It’s not supposed to be in humidity or rain. Which, living in the PNW in winter, you get lots of moisture just in the air from the rain; so while it’s not gonna be wet in the greenhouse, it’ll be moist and humid for sure. It’s rated for outdoor and greenhouse so it makes no sense to me. I know it’s battery operated so that’s probably why. Then the sunny part: no direct sunlight.Well it’s not gonna be direct sunlight, as in open air, but it’s still gonna be in the sun cause that’s where my greenhouse is (it’s a white one, not green in color, cause in PNW I need all the brightness I can get in winter).I will probably look for an old fashioned bulb type thermometer, I was just hoping to get one that would hold the lowest temperature so I know what I need to do to keep my plants warm through winter.Jury still out for a couple more days, though I bought two, only opened one, will probably return both.
