Genuine Trailer Wiring Kit VPLST0072 for Range Rover Sport (2012-2013)

Works great on my 2012 Range Rover Sport. Remember to take the spare wheel and bumper off for easy access.

So finally got this baby in and installed the same day. Took a lot of research but this was the quickest, easiest and cheapest! Fit was perfect with the two pigtail connectors but the front main connector was tricky fitting through the hole. Happy with the product though and can't wait to tow! Highly recommend! Oh and buy the hitch connector to the trailer here on Amazon instead of the Range Rover one, it will save you lots of money! Spent about $300 instead of like $2000 if the dealer did it, so big win!

Kit worked perfectly but the instruction booklet only has illustrations and it can be difficult to understand if you don't already know how it works. However, for my 2013 RR Sport… we removed both taillights in order to remove the rear bumper cover (Tip: remove the tread plate on top of rear bumper to access 4 clips, and all the other small screws on the bumper are around the bottom and fender wells). Once the bumper cover is off, you’ll see two cords/connectors with dummy plugs attached to the bumper frame and that’s what you’ll plug the new wiring harness connectors into. Also, it helps if you drop the spare tire down to give you more room to work. (For the 2013 model, you do NOT need to remove any interior panels like you do in older models.) Hope this helps!

I have a 2013 RRS, easy to remove rear number, could be a 15min or 1hr install depending on comfort level. No way in hell I was going to pay what the dealership was asking for this part.
