I bought these in place of the expensive warmers for my puppies Snuggle Puppy. The product came exactly as described. It does take a little longer for these to heat up compared to other brands, but that has not been an issue for us. I usually open the package and shake it and rub it between my hands 30 minutes prior to bedtime. By this time, it is usually heated enough for my puppy to feel the warmth and rest peacefully snuggled up with her Snuggle Puppy. These do not get as hot as some of the other brands, but it was the perfect temperature for what I was looking for. Other hand warmers may also last longer hours. These last throughout the night and part of the morning. I would recommend these and will buy them again for my intended use compared to more expensive alternatives.

I’m hoping this review will help others debating on buying these, as opposed too paying much more for the name brand competitor.To start, these work just as good, if not better than Hot Hands. Not only do they last what seems like forever, they literally get so hot, that depending on where I have them, I have to put another layer in between the packet and my skin.After opening each packet, I’ve found they do need a good shaking. Personally, I put one in each hand and shake them both for about 10 seconds, I then set them to the side for a couple minutes, while the air “activates” the ingredients in the packet.Personally, I found that if you immediately put them to use after opening, it takes them much longer to heat up. I guess it’s just preference, but thought I’d pass that info along.Lastly, PLEASE be cautious, especially when giving to kids as these do, eventually get REALLY HOT! Do NOT put the packets directly on your skin! Make sure you have some kind of clothing or layering between you and the packet, to protect your skin.Well, hope that helps anyone who was hesitant on these. There worth every penny!

My furnace broke during the winter and until we could get the new one installed, these hand warmers were life savers!!! Best price, lasted long and the perfect size to fit in our gloves! Thank you !!!!

They should really just describe this Hot Hand Warmers 11 Hours Long Lasting (40 Count) as having 20 pairs, so there's no confusion. The price is affordable, especially compared to other brands. And value is even better, especially if you use the various coupons & discounts that pop up. If the info & instructions were on each half (so packs could be separated in two), then it would make more sense to call this a 40 count or 40 packs. But they can't be separated without losing half the product info on each packaging, so they should be considered 1 pack (that includes a pair in each pack). The product photo of the box does reflect it contains "20 pairs per Box", but not everyone may notice that tiny print on the photo. As for the hand warmers themselves, they do get warm, though maybe not that hot. I put a couple under my feet to warm them while I'm sitting in my favorite armchair watching C-dramas & K-dramas on TV. Or I slip one down the back of my PJ top to warm my back as I huddle under my blankets as I try to fall asleep.

I use these for hand warmers in the winter, but I also use them as heat packs for injuries! My neck was giving me a lot of problems and I was really sore, and these did wonders for my pain! They last a long time and warm up really quickly. You can also open one at a time out of the two pack, which is handy.

These take a lot longer to heat up compared to the competitors and just don't seem to get that warm. You get what you pay for

My son works in a lumber mill where there is no heat in the warehouse. I sent a box of them to the mill and all were very appreciative. Good product which I would recommend and will purchase again.
