Kim Kardashian's Marriage (Faber Poetry) Paperback – 5 Feb. 2015

There is beauty everywhere, even in the orange ugliness of the Kardashians. This dismembered marriage is a pull in, pull out vision of what poetry can do. Fabulous.

Brilliantly and surprisingly poignantly expresses the melancholy life behind the endless disembodied babble of the internet.

I don't get this book maybe somebody could explain it to me !

This is what's right with poetry.

If we could pick up, security-services style, the 'chatter' of Californian celebrity, or the spliced-together thoughts of Frat boys or aspiring starlets on Venice Beach, crack phials glinting in nearby doorways, it might read something like this. A difficult but surprisingly readable - to me - cut-up style of lots of 'found' (but not entirely 'found') poetry. And for those who aren't pious, po-faced or PC, there's a real quick-minded subtlety to savour. I'd say it has more in common with Harmony Korine's films, David Lynch's 'Mulholland Drive', and Hockney's California paintings, than many a belaboured contemporary poetry collection (while also reading a little like mid-period Frederick Seidel). I really enjoyed this.
