Always Have A Plan B!!!
In the Army we test on paper and compass land navigation for a reason. GPS might not be there someday. Hiking apps are awesome, but what if your phone gets destroyed?

Perfect maps for the 14ers.
These are perfect maps for my needs. Detailed trails and they're lightweight and waterproof. Not big bulky maps. Just the right size to pull out and take a look. Maps are part of the 10 essentials when hiking so when doing 14ers, get these.

Like the size of map and material!! Not huge getting info that you need!! I was looking at map at about 12,300 ft not too long ago and almost blew off of mountain

Great Maps
I have tons of maps, from USGS quads to Nat Geo Trails illustrated, and these are my new favorites. The maps are accurate with many known routes shown, even some lesser known routes.I love the size and the scale, they provide the detail needed, but are small enough to handle in the wind above treeline. They are also very durable and water resistant.I have about 6 of these and will be getting many more.thank you for a great product.

Never climb backcountry mountains without a good map.
Don’t ever climb 14ers without a good map. It’s easy to get lost, especially when trails aren’t well marked. Good maps can save lives. It’s one of the essential items to take with you whoever you go into the back country.
