Best thing for its purpose, much better than boards (straight or curved)
I'm clueless how this item escaped my attention for so long. It is so perfect for the job, much better than other solid, fixed patient transfer aids (such as boards -- while solid boards do have their uses). But for getting a wheelchair-bound individual into a car seat or moved around on furniture, this is perfect, since very little energy (or strength) is required to move them because the material easily slips on itself. The only friction is with the material in the loop, instead of the patient's skin or their clothes against a board or solid transfer aid. The Home Health nurses and physical therapists had never seen anything like this before and all of them went out and bought their own as soon as we demonstrated it.

This WORKS!
I like that this item is SIMPLE, inexpensive and works well. Our daughter has cancer and her mobility is failing so getting into and out of bed has become problematic. We needed a solution so she didn't have to struggle so hard particularly at the end of the day when she is already exhausted. This simple item has proved to be a God send as she can much more easily slide into bed and maneuver so she is comfortable. It's easy enough to remove from underneath her once she is settled. I'm very thankful for a product like this.

It works. Can something be a good value and overpriced at the same time?
First, I must say this slide sheet does what it is supposed to do: reduce friction so that a person can be maneuvered more easily. It is very much easier getting my wife in and out of our car. The fabric appears to be strong and is well sewed into its tubular shape which provides a good hand grip to move her. However, I couldn't give a fifth star because of the price. The fabric is good quality but can't possibly be worth more than a few dollars and the labor to finish it is not complicated. There is really nothing to it except ... it works! I consider it a good value in spite of the price because it has made my life easier. And for that reason it gets four stars..

Helpful
What a great idea! Wish I'd thought of it myself. I even looked into making one myself, figuring I could do it cheaper. But by the time I bought the fabric & thread, I think the cost would have been about the same. I have purchased two of these (one got whipped away in a strong wind, so be careful when using it in strong winds! ;÷D ). This is a simple, but EXCELLENT idea. I use it getting in & out of the car & just love it! It's one of those simple ideas that make sense. Oh, and it's washable.

Works if carefully placed
Works sometimes and sometimes not. If using for car transfer, it prevents you from stabilizing by holding on to the seat.

Not worth time/money
Too small... cheaply made... unable to do what you think its supposed to or thought it was gonna do... Sadly, Its a sewn together piece of wind breaker material.... if even that! Over it, but had to write this quick review to save someone a buck or two... 🙄 Get you some tacos and a beer instead!FRIENDLY REMINDER: Always double check measurements... NEVER TRUST online pictures, and read... read... read... as many reviews as you can, both good and bad. 😎🤘🏻

Lifesaver when trying to move person with a disability
I bought this after seeing it online. It has been a lifesaver for my 86 year old mother who was 2 months ahead of a hip replacement. Things had gotten so bad that she could barely walk, and trying to get her into the car was nearly impossible. With this on the seat, she is able to sit and with some help to put her legs up, easily slide across the seat.Since her hip replacement, I have purchased two additional mats. I have one for her chair in the living room and one for her bed. Again, lifesavers! She doesn't have the upper body strength to push herself back onto the bed without this, and trying to rely on her pushing herself was resulting in very sore wrists. The only caution is to make sure that the person is far enough back on the bed so that they don't slide off. This has not been an issue for us as we are very careful (and the package is clear about how to use this), but I make sure my mom is back before I lift her legs onto the bed. Then I gently push her hips/butt so that she is centered on the bed. She then is able to slightly lift her hips and I can pull the sheet out from the side.

Such a helpful item
This is the second one of these that I have bought. I somehow lost the first one. My daughter is disabled and this makes it so much easier to put her in the car. It also makes it easier to reposition once she's in the seat
