I was just so disappointed.
I scratched my head in vain trying to think of something that I liked and could only think of the "cover".The cast are all competent actors and deserve better than to be in such utter rubbish as this. There seems to be no attempt to provide some way of including the "asides" , descriptions and explanations that the late, great Sir Terry did so well in his wonderful books. It is as if the Producer just lifted the dialog straight from the books and could not be bothered to listen to how it all falls flat with only the dialog.I suppose in a perverse way it is amazing that they could make any of Sir Terry's books sound boring, confusing and just plain unfunny. Not many people could do that but they have!!I held off opening the set until I thought I could have the time to enjoy them without distractions but did so too long as I could not return them and get a refund. I have wasted my money.Utter rubbish and from the BBC as well? Their radio adaptations of Richard Adam's HHGTTG were excellent but this is truly awful.I gave this product one star only because I could not be assured of giving them zero stars which would have done them justice.

A waste of money
Having read most of the Disc world books and listened to many of the unabridged audible recordings I found these to be absolutely awful. I would not have understood the story line in nearly all recordings if I was not already familiar with the book. These were a travesty of Terry Pratchett's writing. Don't waste your money on this rubbish, use it to buy the real thing. My public library has many of these books on CD for the benefit of borrowers.

Deserving of Every Discworld fans collection
What is there to say about these BBC dramatisations? Far superior to the tv adaptations, and a lot more faithful.MORT under my belt already and it's fabulous...he couldn't find his arse with both hands.🤣🤣🤣I had heard Wyrd Sisters already and THAT one I know is incredible.Nice to have the bonus play Only You Can Save Mankind.Roll on vol.2Sound effects, and acting top notch.I know the BBC did an amazing 😁😁😁😁 job of Maurice And His Amazing Educated Rodents

Do not buy!
We bought this to listen to as a family on a long car journey. I can't comment on the quality of the performances as we didn't get far enough for that. It's clearly designed to be listened to in a very quiet room with intense concentration. The dynamic range of the sound is such that one second it's a muffled whisper that you can't possibly hear over the noise of the engine but if you turn the volume up enough to hear it you'll be deafened by a sound effect ten seconds later. Just impossible and I sincerely with there was a way to get my money back. We gave up and bought Wyrd Sisters read by Celia Imrie which was fantastic and passed the journey as we'd hoped. This just remains an expensive mistake. It should not be sold on audible.

Five Star Performances, Five Star Stories- Fantastic.
Seven full-cast dramatisations from the fabulous BBC Radio Drama department is a bargain at half the price. The Terry Pratchett Radio Drama Collection is wonderfully acted, sensibly abridged and a wonderful 'Movie for Your Ears' to quote the late much missed, Frank Zappa. No one does these comedy dramas better than the BBC.You get seven delightful plays. Heck the price is worth it just for the brilliant Guards Guards! And The Night Watch. If you've read the books it's amazing at just how quick you accept and welcome the voices, Carrot becomes Carrot, Same Vimes becomes the voice of the grizzled, seen it all before and survived Captain of the watch. The rest are superbly performed and tight direction moves the action and the comedy (and this is in spades from the wonderful pen and imagination of the beloved Terry Pratchett. This is a fine tribute to the much missed Terry and that is no mean achievement.

Faithful, spectacular Pratchett dramatisations. A Discworld delght.
When I found myself leaping to the radio to listen to the re-run of "Guards !, Guards !" for the fourth or fifth time I finally decided to take the plunge and buy the box set so I could listen to these BBC drama adaptations at leisure. This turned out to be a good decision. The sound quality is superb and exploits stereo to its fullest with great sound effects that really enhance the drama. The adaptations are faithful to the books and the four done by Robin Brooks - "Mort","Eric" "Small Gods" and "Night Watch" are especially good and manage to cope with the difficulty of explaining the Discworld set-up well without using a very long preamble.I especially enjoyed Geoffrey Whitehead's portrayal of Death and the two with Anton Lesser's narration which fitted my vision of Discworld and its denizens perfectly. I've already binged on the whole 15 cd set despite my intentions to spread my listening out over times when I couldn't find music, podcasts or radio programmes that suited my mood. (Listening with headphones is recommended for a great experience. )There seems to be some sort of Marmite thing going on with reviews of this box set which seem to be saying either "Rubbish" or "Marvellous" which I suppose reflects ones own vision of the characters or perhaps prior familiarity with the Discworld. As a self-confessed Pratchett fan I am tremendously sad at losing him but am delighted with this collection which I found marvellous. Since one of the delights of Discworld for me is the joy of constantly finding a reference or joke that I had previously missed I am looking forward to listening to these again and am delighted with my purchase.

A real pleasure
Great adaptations, a real pleasure to listen to while stuck in traffic: very good sound effects and superb acting. Looking forward to Wyrd Sisters!

Terry Pratchett
What can one say. BBC produced great stories from the masters pen. Packaging is a bit basic as the CD's are stacked one atop the other in a big fat jewel box container instead of being in a jewel case that has separate slots for each cd. BUT the stories are marvelous of course and worth the money.
