Q: can this be an "indoor only" plant? If not, do you recommend something similar that can be indoor only?

Sorry to say, but, no. Barbados cherry plant (which will grow to be a tree) is definitely an outdoor tree, it requires sun all day. Now if you have a window that receives full sun all day, it might work! I really have no idea if there is any fruit tree that could be considered an indoor tree.

They will grow great but they need to be protected from frosts.

Q: Any new updates on the plants you all bought?

Plant was health but was smaller than I expected. A 4 ft tree is 36 dollars at Home depot. It cost about 10 with shipping for a 4 inch plant. I bought it as a gift for neighbor.
