This is a very nice butterfly enclosure. I ordered the larger size, and am glad I did because it gives the butterflies room to exercise their wings and practice flying before they are ready to be released. There is a nice viewing “window” that makes it fun for little ones to study and observe the different stages the caterpillars change into. The door is easy to zip and unzip, perfect for “launch days”. I am very happy I found this enclosure as my preschoolers were able to really learn a lot about caterpillars and butterflies once they moved into this butterfly “condo”!

This enclosure is exactly what I need to raise Polyphemus moth caterpillars. It looks like it will be easy to keep clean and access to add leaves. The material seems sturdy enough for use over a period of 5 weeks, which was my requirement. Thank you!

My son brought how a tent caterpillar so we ordered this for it. It was super cool to watch it make a cocoon and turn into a moth. We couldn’t have watched it without this tent. We will use it again soon.

I wish bottom was more solid, would be easier to clean. Also zippers more of a square than rounded because hard to open to let one butterfly out and not others. Cannot easily quickly close. I bought one of the larger ones and that is better, but be sure to weight them down.

Love these cages, they work great for my leafbugs. I now have five of them. The zippers can be a little odd when they first arrive but after unzipping g and rezipping them they are all good, the double zippers can be a life saver when little babies are on the zipper.

Liked seeing the caterpillars turn into butterflies. Worked well and I get to use it again this spring!

Bought these to start closely observing the process of the hungry hungry caterpillar (my daughter has been a huge fan of the book since she was a baby). Also, we had witnessed caterpillars and newly emerged monarchs being preyed on by wasps and jumping spiders, so we figured we'd get this to help some of them to have a better chance at survival.It's very easy to clean. I like that it had two zippers, which makes opening it a breeze. One side has a clear viewing window making it easy to see what's happening inside. It comes with a little booklet with some tips on how to set it up and provides information on how to care for different types of butterflies. Overall, good value for the item. I imagine it would be fun to share in a first grade or kindergarten classroom.
