Clark Drain PC6CG 600mm x 450mm Clear Opening (Overall Size Including Frame 663mm x 513mm 10 Tonne Manhole Cover Access Inspection

Needed a replacement for a smaller old manhole this fitted with a little convincing hammer work it fits nicely and is very sturdy. I'm 15st and am confident to jump on it.

This was a lot lighter than the cast iron manhole cover it replaced. However it still weight a good 10+kg so won't get blown off by the wind or casual usage.Ideally, you need to cement/mortar in the plastic base to stop it moving around, and that worked fine.I wasn't initially sure whether it'd hold 10 tonnes of weight, but someone placed 10 bags of 25kg soil on top of it and it was still fine afterwards, so should definitely hold up to normal foot traffic. And for my purposes in the back garden it should be just fine.Overall, for £28.50 delivered, I was more than happy with what I got.I'll update if anything doesn't go to plan longer term...

Nice and sturdy, easy to install and good value for money.

This item was used to cover a drain on my drive. It had been damaged when a skip wagon went over it. This required remedial work to the concrete surround and then the cover fitted. I'm not sure I would have felt confident to carry out the full repair but a relative was a builder. The fitting was reasonably easy but the fixing in with concrete was slightly more involved. The finished item was robust and more than adequate to support the cars that go over it daily

First one delivered had a broken base, but they replaced with no problem. Great seller, no fuss.

This produce was used as a replacement. Unsure how the old the original cover was but know it was at less 10 years. The new cover fitted straight into the old frame, plus the grade and weight of the metal is far superior.
