Berghaus Women's Expeditor Ridge 2.0 Waterproof Walking Boots | Breathable | Extra Cushion

Firstly I’ll start with the good things about these boots.They are well made, lightweight and have good grip plus they are waterproof. The actual foot part is very comfortable.The downside is that they have made my ankles very sore. I’m using a padded dressing two layers of tubbi grip and socks. I had hoped that after wearing them everyday for a week they would start to feel better but as you can see from the photo ankles still very sore.I bought these boots for walking the dogs through the woods and on uneven ground. Ironically I thought they would protect my ankles.I have now been wearing these boots every day for the last six weeks. My ankles have healed and I’m loving these boots. They have kept my feet warm and dry and are now so comfortable.

I tried a few other boots and the size was not right and they felt uncomfortable call round. I finally ordered this Berghaus boot and it is perfect. This size is correct, the comfort is incredible and my feet feel like walking on a cloud. Light, bouncy, waterproof and very comfortable. Typical Berghaus quality! It is worth spending a bit more and get a boot of this quality..

I trawled through all the reviews as you're now doing - and due to the usual mixed reviews I wasn't sure but took a gamble anyway. I'm very glad I did, these are the best walking boots I've had for years - light, fully waterproof, comfortable, stable.My only possible 'con' comment would be this: unlike the fabric boots which I've been wearing for a few years (and am now heartily sick of as they don't last 5 mins and are never properly waterproof no matter what they claim) these boots take a little bit of wearing in, as I found them initially a bit stiff. But I really didn't mind that considering all the other benefits and I hope Berghaus won't change the design as I want to stick with these in future!

Great pair of boots they lost 1 star as they took quite a while to break in i had some stupendous heel blisters! Other than that really comfortable and truly waterproof. That sounds silly but I have bought many boots that claim to be waterproof but i would still have a few damp patches on my socks. I couldn't avoid the puddles on one walk even went over the laces still dry!

Good fit, Ankle support, good none slip soul

These boots are great. Did not need breaking in. They are sturdy but not heavy.

I’m disappointed with these boots. Sadly with lockdown wasn’t able to try before buying. I bought a 7 and had to return for a 7.5 as too small. These boots are for people with wide feet make no mistake however I put an insole in and can tighten up the laces and wear a thick sock. They make you look very flat footed just for information although I’m wasn’t bothered about appearance. These are comfortable and have good ankle support. However I wanted these for hard walking and despite the description saying shock absorber soles I can’t agree. The heels are decent enough but the mid foot down to toe are very thin and you can feel every little stone on the road or rough surface on fields. I have walked on both. You can never tell until you’ve walked on the surfaces you usually walk on and this is my experience. I wanted them for hard field walking as I live rurally but they don’t suit this but for road work they are fine. You certainly couldn’t hill climb comfortably in these over rocks. Cannot comment on whether waterproof or not as no wet weather but after a few weeks one of the metal lace fasteners pinged off. Had a terrible game with the seller to get a refund. Cannot recommend boot or seller.

I have now done several walks, on varied terrains and in the rain in these Berghaus Expeditor boots. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on, no blisters, no sore feet. They are lightweight and waterproof with good grip soles. My husband has had the Expeditor boots for the last 3 years, he has never had wet feet and has walked on all terrains. My last Berghaus boots were the Dalemaster and I had wet feet all the time and they were not comfortable. Very happy with the Expeditor boots and would recommend.
