Alpha [Blu-ray] [2018]

This film caught me off guard - did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did.Teenager coming of age to a man during a time when men were men with brutality to survive the odds.It gets you emotionally - loved it...will watch again!Definitely worth 5*!!

This is not a comedy so do not expect laughs like in Quest For Fire (an excellent movie), but it is a very good gripping movie well worth watching. I can't say if man or wolf is the best (or leading) actor but all the same, it is very good. This is a movie I will keep in my collection to watch again at some point.I have the Blu-ray version and it has the option to watch the Director's cut, so top marks from me for that also.

Dvd was great enjoyed the story, no it's fiction but shows how people of that period in lifehad to do survive & live.Rest totally crap1. Delivery was late2. Postage obnoxious about delivery3. Not enough payment on postage so had to pay the extra money & pick it up.Being " TOTALLY ANNOYED " doesn't go away near way I feel .As I can't use offence if language about treatment on this site.

Great story another telling of the origins the domesticity the bond of dogs to man set in the last ice age, prehistoric and showing how hard it was to have lived then.

Nothing is not possible with the will never to give up

Brilliant film, loved every moment and I didn't want it to end.. Definitely one of my favourite films. Will watch it again

A young untrained hunter is left for dead and he has to go it alone in the wilderness.After being attacked by wolves he injures one and when the rest of the pack leave he helps it eventually forming a forever bond.You do have to read subtles, which is super annoying but a great film with good acting and you can't help but fall in love with the wolf.This is a film for the whole family.

Might be an unfair comparison, but felt like they shoved "Dances with Wolves" and "Apocalypto" into a bag and gave it a good shake to give us "Alpha".And it worked really well!It's not a masterpiece, but it's still a solid film in its own right!
