My gardener accidentally cut one of my external Cat6 cables so after I fitted the two cut ends with RJ45s, this waterproof connector spliced them. Seems like a very good waterproof connector. Easy to use, pretty tough and after several weeks, I’ve still got max speed out of the connection in my garden office.I would definitely use again.

Use this to connect an ethernet cable from my router to my outdoor garden office, easy to install, seems solid once screwed in from both sides and works really well. Looks like it will keep out all weather elements

Bought this as I needed to extend an external ethernet cable, this worked brilliantly and feels well built and so far has stood the test of time.Very easy to use and attach as it has a female coupler inside so no need to crimp cables just attach each end to the coupler and screw it all back together to make it waterproof.

These are larger than expected but that's due to the connectors being full RJ45 shielded connectors. Basically, you get two RJ45 female connectors, back to back, in the centre to offer a simple cable extender using two pre-made network cables, complete with ends. There is an end casing on each side that unscrews from the centre to reveal the female connectors. The end casings themselves have screw caps at the end to allow for the cable, complete with RJ45 end, to pass through in order to be inserted in to the female connectors. Then the whole lot is rescrewed. There are rubber o-rings and grommets to ensure water tight fittings. All-in-all simple and effective. Does the job a treat, albeit slightly on the chunky side. So far these have been in use for a while extending the home network servicing Xboxes, NAS and 4k streaming galore. I have had zero issue with them since putting in place outside, unprotected, in the elements - being in the UK that means in the wet quite a lot.

When I heard about these, I must admit, I was a little dubious. I've used "weatherproof enclosures" in the past, only to find that realistically, they aren't.This is a simple unit that can, ( I have done it) be used through thin walled steel communications cabs, providing a watertight ( so far) for the cab, and for the plugs. It allows for the rapid disconnection of devices, relocation of equipment and with a 'standard' thread pattern, can easily be capped off when needed, ensuring water tightness.As a stand alone to repair a damaged cable, they are reliable, and can be fitted quickly. Ideal for those quick emergency patch ups in bad weather, or when a scheduled replacement of the cable could be weeks away.I do highly recommend this product, and high recommendations from me do not come lightly :)

Great little thing that's lasted through the winter rain and snow, showing no signs of water penetration so brilliant durability so far.It is a thick thing, but really expect it considering what it is.Did have to recrimp the ends of the cables which is something to be mindful of I'd you've not done it before or got the gear but it's got great connectivity and not noticed any impact in LAN speed since it was installed

Easy to assemble and creates a very good watertight seal. Very sturdy plastic outer shell. It is quite large so if it needs to fit through any sort of aperture you should check the dimensions very carefully.I used mine to extend a run of cable that wasn't quite long enough for an external POE CCTV camera.
