My head size just happens to be between sizes in terms of a newsboy type of hat I just bought. I wound up keeping the larger hat in the hopes of sizing it to better fit my head. I bought this hat size reducer to give it a shot. It was easy and seamless to use right out of the package. I simply lined it up under the headband inside the hat. I now can wear the "larger" hat which now fits nicely. I can wear it without fear of it falling off or blowing off my head with a small breeze. If you have a slightly too large hat, this tape should do the trick!

I haven't been to wear the hat I used this for, hense the 4-star rating. Hoping it doesn't detach when I wear it for long periods of time, especially if out in the heat. Easy to place in my hat and seems like it will be comfortable.

I gave it a shot cause I have a small head and all hats are large on me, and for the price I felt like i really had nothing to lose trying it out. Worked perfect the first time round, so i bought it again and likewise a good experience.Will probably have to buy a third roll for my last hat that needs it.Adhesive is good, fits all the way around the hat, dont even really notice that its in there, and definitely helps keep the hat on your head. I hadn't realized this item would be thinner and not as wide as other hat sizers I’ve purchased. I kept it because I needed to wear the particular hat I bought it for. It’s ok more for caps than for Panama hat types.

Great value. It’s easy to apply and is hidden from view. Best part is it really works . My hat now feels like it was custom made for me.

I purchased an expensive hat from lack of colour AUS and it turned out to be a smidge too big (about 1-2 cm). It was $45 to ship it back and would rather use hat filler. This one had an adhesive that you peel and stick and now the hat fits perfectly! I wouldn't recommend it if the hat is any bigger than 1-2cm (if so, probably worth exchanging the size) and I think it does the job for the times I'll wear the hat. If I was wearing it everyday, I'd probably want something a bit more permanent but this 100% does the job for me!

This liner caused an allergic reaction on my forehead!!! I never write reviews unless the product is really good or REALLY bad, but this was ridiculous. I wore my hat with the new liner for about a half a day and the next morning I woke up I hat a huge bump on my forehead. I thought perhaps it was because the hat was too tight, but that would make an indent, not a bump. I ignored it until it started getting worse, it was long and oval shaped and RIGHT where the lining touched my forehead. That night, it started pussing!!! I've never seen anything like it, each pore was filled with puss and they were just exploding. Absolutely horrifying and disgusting. I immediately threw out the liner and have been putting cream on the spot to help it go down, which, a week later it's a lot better but still there. I don't know what kind of solution is all over this liner but it should not be worn against your skin. Horrible product, would give it negative stars if I could.
