Having a blanket like this is not something people usually think about, but I can tell you that this is so much better than laying towels down. Yes, it is pricey, but it is worth the price. First off, it is absorbant and I we have never had a problem with it leaking or anything of the kind. The color and the material also prevent it from any kind of staining. It is a little awkward to fold because of whatever material it is made of and it is pretty heavy, but I store it under the bed when not in use.I also love that you can just throw this in the washing machine and dryer with no problems and it comes out looking good as new! I fully recommend this blanket. I would recommend it in person more if it ever came up, but of course it isn't something I'd randomly bring up in person! Glad I can recommend it on here.

Other than the fact it has a crinkle to it as you move this thing does what it’s supposed to. It’s comfortable, very absorbent and much better than towels. It washes easily, folds up to towel size (We got a queen size for a king bed as we didn’t need the entire bed covered, just the splash zone) and is unobtrusive.

Unlike similar products, this works as advertise. No leak through and clean up is a breeze. Just be warned,excessive fluid build up can run off.

I highly recommend this product! It it worth every penny and saved my mattress. It doesn't soak through and is very high quality. It is easy to wash. I put it on gentle and dry on low heat and haven't had an issue with it yet. I even bring it with me to hotels when I travel.

Water goes right through the blanket and all blankets/sheets below will be soaked. Prior model with protector on bottom where only one side was soft blanket was much better. Look else where if you and your partner like water sports.

My partner and I are both squirters so this was a necessity for us! The fabric feels really nice under our bodies and if it were left out like at the end of the bed I dont think anyone else would know what it's for, they would probably just think it's a throw blanket. It's slightly crinkly and stiff but is definitely waterproof so its a worthwhile trade off! It's easy to just throw in the washer when we've made enough of a mess on it. It's saved us from having to sleep on towels! So worth it!

This is the best hundred or so dollars I have literally ever spent. I bought this item almost three years ago, and literally never write Amazon reviews, but after what I've put this blanket through in my time with it, it deserves this and so much more. From thousands of dollars in furniture, to two expensive mattresses, this blanket has saved me on endless occasions. It's absurdly easy to scoop up and clean, and can hold literal gallons of liquid. I recommend placing it silky side up so the velvety side can grip the surface below, it prevents the blanket from shifting, and the silky side is more absorbent in my opinion. I am planning on packing it for vacation, and will absolutely buy another when it finally meets it's demise, which doesn't look to be anytime soon despite frequent use. Seriously, just buy it.
