Classic Cattleman Straw Cowboy Hat with Silver Concho

The shape is great. Personally, I thought that the cowboy hats worn by Alan Ladd in the movie "Shane"(1953) and Robert Redford in "The Horse Whisperer"(1998) were beautiful because of the attention to detail in the shape. This product is just as beautiful. It is hard to find an ivory-colored cowboy hat of this shape in Japan.It feels comfortable to wear. However, the material is not straw, but more like hard plastic. While this is considered reasonable from the viewpoint of maintaining the shape beautifully, it may break under a lot of pressure. This point must be kept in mind when using it.I ordered a larger size because some reviews said that the size was smaller than the indicated size. The product I received was larger than I expected, but the problem was solved by applying adjustment tape.The product was simply packaged in a paper bag. Therefore, the shape was slightly distorted. It was lucky that the deformation was limited, even though it was sent by airmail in this packaging. Whether it arrives undeformed is a matter of luck, and in this regard, all I can do as a buyer is pray. That's right, in order for buyers to receive a decent product, it's not enough for them to just pay the price, they also need a lot of luck. However, I was able to easily fix the deformation by putting it through a steamer and bending it by hand.All in all, I really like this western hat, and would definitely buy it again if it ever broke. The outstanding beauty of the shape more than makes up for any issues.
