I got this item because my optometrist used it to test my prescription as if I was wearing glasses vs the stationary unit usually used. I thought it was cool looking and bought it as a fashion statement. Not the most comfortable, but certainly attracts a lot of attention and is a great conversation piece. This item is surprisingly inexpensive and is exactly the same as used by my optometrist sans lenses.

I think a more expensive pair would have slightly easier and more constant adjustments but these do work and I was able to perform tests on several family members with them. It does require a small screwdriver to do some of the adjustments. And I find that the lenses will pop out pretty easily which may be true of all of them, I don't know.

Have been using this trial frame style for years. I wish that they could just make it lighter weight and maybe that would make the nose pad more comfortable.
