Q: Can you detach the base from the mirror? I want to put this on the wall.

No. It screws into the stand. There would be no way to mount that exposed bar that goes on the stand. They have mirrors just for wall mounting.

Q: How long is the power cord? My outlet is far from where I want to place mirror

it is about 4 ft long ( give or take )

Q: Is the 8 inch mirror polished or brushed chrome? And can you leave it plugged in continuously charging?

It is polished but it doesn’t plug into wall, charges from USB port located on the mirror so when you leave the cord in as i did so I wouldn’t lose it and you flip the mirror, the cord snaps off, already threw it away. But if your close to a usb and can leave it plugged in and turn entire mirror it would work for you.

Q: How many buttons does the rectangular mirror have: 1 or 3? The video shows one, the photos show three.Single buttons are problematic.
