Edited March 2025: the one item I first got wasn’t working but I received a replacement one less than a week later and this one is working as intended. I’m grateful of the fast solution and want to update the review accordingly. I’m really appreciative and as a result I’m ordering another one for the other side of the house. Very happy with my choice!!Just received the dehumidifier and at first sight it really looks like a high quality product. The offer in this category is such a wide jungle that it’s a bit confusing. We sure wanted something serious and not a cheap gadget and we were guided by the price. So far so good. Only one star dropped because we wanted to make sure this unit can be controlled remotely from our phone and absolutely nothing on the packaging or on the product itself is referring to this feature. It’s only mentioned on the Amazon description. The manual itself doesn’t even mention if or how to setup this smart device. We learned it in reading the reviews that mentioned the existence of the Smart Life App…. The less we can say is it’s not really “smart”!! Also there is no mention of any means in the manual to get support from the seller… Weird!! We just hope Amazon will be here in case we need assistance….Edit 1: the WiFi connection “manual” is in the form of a sticker on the bottom side of the dehumidifier… weird.Edit 2: I was quick to post a pretty positive review based of the appearance but the unit I got wasn’t finally not working. The compressor was running but not working. Everything else was fine. I left the unit stand for 25 hours but after running it for the whole night in the bathroom the humidity was still a good constant 76% with no condensation water in the tank. I also noticed that the dashboard dehumidifier light was off whatever the settings. I had to initiate a return for a replacement with Amazon. Despite what some said, there is no way to contact the seller. No phone number, no email. Hopefully Amazon is following up after the sale

Okay I can amend my review, there's a plug in the place you attach the hose to that you have to remove. I've never used a dehumidifier before so I didn't know that was a thing, and the instructions don't mention this as part of the steps to make it continuously drain. Before removal, it looks like it could be just a rubber gasket/part of the piece the hose attaches to, so it was easy to miss. Glad I didn't have to try and return this 🤞

Purchased this to keep the humidity in my garage lower. Works well. The built-in reservoir fills completely up about once per day. This unit Is Wi-Fi enabled, and I can see in the Smart Life app if the reservoir is full. The unit automatically shut off when the reservoir is full. Can also turn the unit on and off from the app. Comes with a drain tube if you don't want to use the built-in reservoir. Can set the desired humidity level and the unit will turn off when it is reached and turn back on when exceeded.

I recently finished building a second home which has an unfinished daylight basement. Since I’m not living there full-time yet, I rely on Ecobee thermostats to monitor conditions, and they were consistently reporting high humidity levels—sometimes reaching the 70% range. Knowing I needed to address this quickly, I opted for this dehumidifier, given its advertised capacity of up to 4500 sq ft. With my home, including the basement, totaling around 2000 sq ft, I thought this unit would be more than sufficient.I installed it in the basement using the drain pipe for continuous drainage, and while it does help reduce humidity, it struggles to lower it below 60%. Occasionally, it dips to 58%, but considering its 4500 sq ft capacity claim versus the real-world performance, I’m somewhat disappointed.The ability to control it via an app is convenient, though the software itself is quite basic. As of now, it's keeping the humidity right at the borderline. While I’ve read that 60% is acceptable, the ideal range is closer to 50-55%, and unfortunately, this unit doesn’t quite get there. It also seems to run continuously to hold it at 60%, so I’ll have to wait and see how that impacts my next electricity bill. It works for now, but I suspect I’ll need a more robust solution to truly get the humidity under control.

Really pulls the water out. My daughter’s basement has dampness issues- got her this and we set it up to drain into her utility sink, it does a good job. Not as heavy as I expected. Easily to set up.

There is a super small tank on this model. The hose drain never worked. I did everything possible to straighten the hose and ensure the drain slope was downward. I even raised the dehumidifier to create a greater angle. Continuesly dumping the hard to remove tank would be a full-time job.It does pull a lot of water out of the air but that is only half the job if it is only running for a couple of hours because it's full.The app is a joke. Seriously, no one NEEDS an app for your dehumidifier unless you plan on dumping the bucket every hour or two. It should be set it and forget it!I may send it back.

This dehumidifier works great and I love that you can have it drain into the tub and not have to worry about emptying it.
