Fantastic form factor! Awseome sound!
Great sounding ultra-portable speaker. I originally bought the mini Jambox and I was very disappointed with it. The mini jambox was not very loud and it sounded muffled. It went back and I got the Pocket Kick. This ended up being a very good decision.Pros:* Size and shape are fantastic. Very small and flat.* Well made. Device feels very solid.* Dynamic range is surprisingly good for such a small speaker.* Can play at full volume without any discernible distortion (mp3s at 89dB gain).* Volume is significantly louder than similar speakers this size.* Passive bass radiator delivers solid lows.* Very nice battery time for output and size of unit. 10+ hours per charge.* Pairs well with other devices easily and quickly.* Bluetooth performance is very good with range of about 40 feet.* Speaker phone feature works well.Cons:* No way to determine how charged battery is.* Not able to use in tandem with other speaker like some other speakers in this class.I'm very happy with how this speaker performs and its form factor. It sounds great and can get fairly loud for such a small device. I also looked at soda can size speakers as well like the UE Boom. While the UE Boom is louder and has more low end it is not nearly as portable as the Pocket Kick. This speaker packs about anywhere and it really does fit in you pocket. I played disc golf this morning and this speaker fit great in small mesh pocket on disc bag. It was awesome to play disc golf and listen to great sounding music at the same time.

Amazing little travel companion
Bought this speaker after reading great reviews at ilounge.com. Using it by connecting my iPod via aux input. Sound is very well balanced. While the true low end is not there, as one would expect from such small enclosure, I am not really missing it. Achieving such satisfying balance in small enclosure is a very difficult task; this speaker is overachiever in this respect. The perceived response is very smooth and natural, without any significant peaks or dips. Male, female voices, acoustic guitar sound great. I listen to rock, classical, jazz music - no problems detected, all genres sound just right through this little gem.(I am not using Bluetooth so cannot make comments on performance with wireless.)Also battery life is very good. I got about 8 hours from fully charged battery playing at about 70% of maximum. And this is pretty loud!I only wish the speaker comes with a protective case.As for power supply I am using charger for iPad, it delivers 2 Amps which is just right for Pocket Kick.So overall I am very impressed and sincerely recommend this unit to everyone who wants to get the best possible sound quality in small package. Great job, Soundfreaq!

Great for music....Good for videos...and Found a protective cover that fits like a glove
I have been looking a long time for a portable bluetooth speaker small enough for carryon luggage yet big sound. I have compared the Pocket Kick to the likes of Bose Mini Soundlink II, Jawbone Mini Jambox, a plethora of Sony speakers and many many more.I have come to the conclusion that most decently priced speakers will do the job for music, however all portable speakers failed when it comes to movies (videos ) in the loudness department.Another concern was a REAL and valid speaker warranty. So many portable speakers sold on Amazon fail to list any warranty information and upon reading reviews it becomes evident there isn't one. Soundfreaq certainly meets the warranty requirement.I also found if you have a audio equalizer you can pretty much customize your sound quality, however for video sound its still a bit more of a challenge but doable.Lastly I also needed a protective cover of some sort for the speaker when travelling. The Pocket Kick unfortunately does not have such cover and was almost a deal breaker. In fact I made this purchase twice and sent the first speaker back simply because I couldn't find a protective cover. Through my searches and speaker measurements I found a cover that works and fits like a glove. Too bad Soundfreaq doesn't make a protective cover as not everyone will place this speaker in their "pocket", let's get real. Look within amazon for the: Cosmos Travel Carry Neoprene Sleeve Case for Jawbone Mini Jambox. Cosmos® Black Color Travel Carry Neoprene Sleeve Case Protective Bag Cover for Jawbone MINI JAMBOX Portable Wireless Bluetooth SpeakerThe sound is more than loud enough and does a great job even with base when using a free and good sound equalizer. As mentioned video sound is reduced and I found even with the auxiliary cable it doesn't help, therefore it's imperative to get a good video equalizer.Overall a sound purchase, better than decent audio using an equalizer, finally got that protective cover, and it's portable. A win-win for me.

Great size and good volume
Really impressed with this little speaker. I am a chaplain and it is perfect size to take with me on visits so I can play hymns and other songs to patients. Good value.

Mediocre
At first it looks like a nice little speaker but when you start using it, you quickly realize its shortcomings. It's too "stealth". Control buttons are body colored and on both sides. A person who's unfamiliar with the speaker will have troubles to raise or decrease sound. It is not clearly labeled where the top or buttom is, unless you look closely. Most of my friends could not operate it easily and would leave it upside down.Sound quality is ok, unfortunately when comparing to Bose mini Soundlink in the same room, clearly Bose has much better bass response and is much easier to control, with buttons clearly labeled on its top.If you can, spend extra $ and buy Bose, don't make my mistake

Battery life
I like that there was no start up tone when you turn it on. And it remembers the volume you left it. why I given 3 stars battery because the speaker is a old model and probably been in storeredge along time and the battery has lost some of it life. if a battery is left uncharged for a long time it looses power and can sometimes fail to charge. hope this was of help

Fantastic speaker
Fantastic little speaker. (Bought this to replace our old larger sound kick. Had it about 10 years). Highly recommend this speaker it may be small but big on sound. No distortion when volume is turned up. Easy to connect. Great value for money at under £30 quid. Best speaker I’ve had
