Excellent!
Got this to refinish the seats in my 84 Corvette. Changed color from light grey to black. Two coats to assure even finish and coverage. Looks nearly like factory finish.

You can do this!
Hey I just wanted to give a rundown of my experience with the products that I used for recoloring my leather Palliser recliner. I turned out really nice I thought I would share. So I ended up purchasing two different colors from two brands to test out which I preferred. These were the Fortivo leather balm in medium brown and the Resyruly leather dye in saddle tan. I tested both of them out on the under side of the ottoman after preparing the leather with Angelus Leather Preparer and lightly sanding with a fine scotchbrite pad. I liked the medium brown but I definitely liked the look of the orange tint to the saddle tan. Saddle tan was just too bright for me and the medium brown so I took a chance and mixed them both together 50/50. So just to give you an idea of how much is needed to do a chair like this, going from a light color to dark, I used these two jars mixed together and still needed to purchase two more to mix to complete this job. So keep that in mind you will need quite a lot to do a drastic color change. So I sprayed down everything with the leather prep and thoroughly wiped down every area. Then, lightly sanded with fine scotchbrite pad and again wiping with leather prep afterwards. This chair comes apart easily so I could work on each part separately. I applied the balm with very light coats starting with all of the seams, folds and wrinkles with the small brushes in the kits for each piece. I used a heat gun to speed up the dry time between coats. Then using the sponge pads I applied the balm to the large areas with the same light coats and heat in between. I probably coated each piece 10 times to get it even. After letting it sit for a day, I used Angelus Acrylic Finisher No.600 to top coat which I applied two light coats with a terry cloth pad. After a another day I used Fiebing's golden mink oil on every area. The end result looks like it is original. The leather is soft and supple. I think it turned out fantastic.I hope I could help anyone who is unsure of what products to use if they looking to do something like this. Good luck with your project!!
